So, just curious...

If Riot is still using the Sub-class thing, I have one question...

Why haven't the champion descriptions been changed to reflect this in the client?

It's not that I have a problem with the existing classifications used in the client, I just wondered why they weren't changed to reflect these when the "Sub-Class" system was announced/implemented.

Perhaps, something like this as an example:

Darius : Class - Fighter; (Juggernaut)

Aatrox : Class- Fighter; (Diver)

Shen : Class- Tank; (Warden)

Lux : Class Mage; (Artillery)

Syndra Class- Mage; (Burst)

Zed Class- Slayer; (Assassin)

Soraka Class- Support; (Enchanter)

Blitzcrank Class- Support; (Catcher)

And so on and so forth for the remaining champions according to their classes and sub-classes.

Of course, it could be because the classes weren't renamed OUTRIGHT, they were just given exactly that: Sub-Classes. Meaning a sub-division of an already existing classification or group of champions. I think I just answered my own question.

Who knows, EbonyBladeJ88, who knows.

Would definitely take it if people stopped using "Bruiser" unironically to not define certain champions.

It would certainly make it easier to clarify their meanings when they post something on the boards about the "Bruiser Keystone". The "Bruiser Keystone" can mean ALOT of things. I've already had "discussions" with others about what is meant by "Bruiser", because the term is used to refer to various champions across at least 3 known sub-classes: The Skirmishers, the Divers, and the Juggernauts. Perhaps a few of the Tanks that are under the Warden and Vanguard sub-classes even.

I know Meddler said something along these lines in the Feb. 2 Gameplay thoughts, but still...

We'd hoped it would, but it hasn't been working as hoped. Aiming for 8.6 as a result, hopefully PBEing during the 8.5 cycle to get additional feedback.

That doesn't clarify WHO it's best on. Now, I know that it could mean that it could fill a lot of the pit-falls that Fighters are currently being subjected to, but until we see it (Hopefully on the 8.5 PBE as he states here) we won't know for sure.
