My matches (All losses) http://prntscr.com/d202to

All my matchups are like these examples provided. My question is why? Every single game is a complete stomp, and we usually have 1-2 players afk and say open mid. Last screenshot was me at level 27 vsing all plat and diamond players, how does the matchmaking system come down to this? From what I know there is something called "normal" mmr and that influences who you versus against but still... I am a very casual player (dont like ranked) but now whenever I play I look at the death screen more than actually play.

If someone can help and explain why this is happening to me that would be great.

Recently a lot of people have stopped playing ranked. The closer to the end of the season it gets, the more people who decide "My rank is okay" and switch to normals for the rest of the season to protect their rank. Many of these people don't play normals at all except during this time of the season, so their normals MMR may be completely different from where they actually play in ranked, because they don't play normals.

That MIGHT be causing some of your problems.

LOL, that last one is a classic! That sucks, and I'm sorry to see someone having such a rough ride. Mostly, we've all been there too at one time or another.

Does the matchmaking in this game suck? 95% of players say: yes! In fact, a lot of things in this game are mysteriously shitty, like the lack of available game modes in a game which supposedly has millions of concurrent players. Or why the developers really, really want to only have one map that never changes, again in a game with supposedly millions of concurrent players.

Pretty much you have to get used to the idea that the developers of this game, the ones running it CURRENTLY, are fucked in the head. If you are a thinking person, and you can't get past that, you won't be able to enjoy it. That's what I've learned over the past months and many games since starting out with LoL in the summer. You have to be able to take the game as a laugh or it will drive you crazy.

Watch any pro or top player live stream, ones who have to take this game seriously -- do they enjoy playing? No, none that I've ever seen appear to actually enjoy playing this game (I'm talking about streams from the past six months, not the good old days of yonder yore).

ONE OTHER THING: The matchmaking seems even worse than it is because the developers of this game have decided to make success in the game highly reliant on "snowballing" to win. In other words, the team which gets ahead will tend to continue to get ahead, more easily and faster, the more they are ahead. This can sometimes lead to the feeling that a match is uneven when actually if those two teams played 100 games against each other they would each win about 50% of the time. For example: if the teams are approximately equal in potential and one team's weakest player gets laned against the other teams strongest player the stronger player may quickly snowball out of control, then they will help their teammates to also get ahead and start snowballing, and overall this will often lead to a complete stomp down of the team that got snowballed on (even though the overall potential of both teams is equal). Now, the fact the game works this way is still entirely down to conscious decisions of the game's developers, it is the way they have CHOSEN the game to be, but in these cases the reason for the one sided matches is not actually down to poor matchmaking per se. [ Nevertheless, Riot matchmaking is clearly awful, as demonstrated by some of your examples and countless others which get posted here constantly but rarely replied to. ]

Best of lucks to you and your motha! :)
