Azir Conceptual Rework Ideas

So I've been trying to think of interesting ways that azir would still be fun, but maybe being more to theme as the emporor of shurima~

Abilities: -Passive: Same/TBD -Q: Lowered burst/scaling -W: higher scalings on damage or attack speed (Dps zone champ) -E: NEW MECHANIC This is essentially a modified yasup windwall. Removing his old ultimate, his divide(now on e) knocks back on the initial cast, but then each individual soldier can be broken by damage, and mobility can break through them. See Notes* -R: NEW MECHANIC Volley. Up to (3) of azors summoned soldiers launch their Spears at a selected target(rapid fire style or maybe just burst?) See Notes**

Notes: For his E, we've given up the mobility, Dps mage now. As someone whose spent hours in custom games, easily in the hundreds of hours in actual games practicing the Shurima shuffle, it hurts me so much to suggest it doesn't suit him thematically. And we can do better. His new E allows him to keep that cool disengage interaction from his ultimate, stopping those pesky rengars, cancelling those half second slaughters from katarina. But now champions can crash through those soldiers and push on. Why is it that the current shield soldiers, can stop mobility for their full duration but their body sized shields can't stop an auto attack? Just food for thought. Similar high cooldown as yasuos wind wall, with this idea that if you re-engage, or engage after the wall comes up, you can crash into it, knocking down whichever soldiers on the wall that you hit. (Helping that, forever pinned, knocked up 6 times for one bad flash silliness from the old state of his ultimate.

**New Ultimate Move: so in some ways he still has his absurd range, similar to his old shuffle. Admittedly however, now it's without putting himself in harms way. However it comes with the cost of mobility, and this idea stemmed originally from the idea that azit's ult should be to summon some part of Shurima to aid him originally that was his passive. I get the impression that would suck as an ultimate move, having to have towers down to use. Terrain? That's sort of taliyahs thing. What about new soldiers? I thought about ranged. But that would need to have an advantage for it to be worth having. Extra damage? Eh.. extra range? Maybe we can get that velkoz kinda ranged out of it. What if like the movie 300, the Persian armies raining arrows came down across a portion of the map? Sounds boring honestly. But what if his soldiers, since we already get to see point where we get up to 3, can synergies with his ult, like if they threw their Spears(casually spawning back in their hand lol) to finish off someone? Since he no longer has a gap closer in his dash, he has that extention, which has the potential to not add up to the extra he might have gotten dashing forward (Q damage, soldier hits, autos) anyway, but if you make it hurt enough people might enjoy having that long range harass, even if it gets used as an opener like Caitlin ults. On that note, it encourages his Q to be used for positioning rather than damage, playing from max range, which is certainly a bonus.

So is it a volley of spears or the soldiers max-summoning and fanning out in a ground-targeted volley (like Cass w?) if people get on him he'd certainly die if E is down. It'd be interesting if he had a second way to reposition his soldiers for zoning after 6.

Maybe with this he doesn't need an "ult" at all, just two ways of repositioning his soldiers. I don't know if I'm completely misreading it, please correct me if so.

One distinction between this version of azir and ranged mages is going to be that azir CANNOT attack in the space between himself and his soldiers. Put velkoz for example next to him, abilities start at velkoz, and move to target. If Q on azir is used, he can only auto, and e one time to stop from being jumped on. My point being that in order for him to attack at max range, which is potentially more than is usually okay for mages, he gives up being able to Dps close to himself, which is not a weakness of other burst mages, because abilities start from the champion.

Huh. This is interesting. As somebody who used to play Azir a lot I would enjoy this Azir.

Also, lol at magic spear respawns, but they're just sand. Azir can make more.
