Matchmaking (Just a lot of venting)

This is just a few paragraphs of me complainingabout the matchmaking system and how it makes me want to quit this game

I am having serious issues with matchmaking in this game. You know, I know that writing this isn't going to matter, and probably few people will even read it, but I have just have to say it. Matchmaking just doesn't work. I don't know how the elo system is working, but it doesn't seem to be doing much of anything at all. One would think in order to be in silver a person would have to know the basic fundamentals of the game, but still I am endlessly seeded in with people who just don't know what they are doing. It's not even like they just had a bad game or something along those lines, but they just are bad players. They don't know how to buy wards, when to go in, when to run, and game after game I lose. And to top it off, it always happens in sprees. Again, I don't know what kind of screwed up matchmaking system you are using, but why is it every time i lose 2, for the next games afterwards, the matchmaking just gets worse and worse. It's like riot decided it wants me to be in a lower league so it keeps giving me people that are rated lower on my team, but doesn't change the rating values of my opponents. Now it may just sound like I am bitching, and you know what, I am. But the worst part about it was, I wasn't even playing badly in those 5 games. I ended with a close to a positive score in all of them despite the loss. I went and tried my best to help every lane as much as i could... But a bad player is going to stay bad no matter how much gold you feed them. Still players that don't understand that positioning, map control, and initiation are more important than that shiny new 6th item when it comes down to later in the game. The worst part of all this is I had made it to gold in the preseason. I worked sooo hard to finally get out of this elo matchmaking hell and into a level where the games were actually somewhat evenly matched most of the time. I even went 7-3 in promos. And then, I just keep going on these sprees of horrible games. A lot of them ending in 20 minutes even with me winning my lane or being in a positive score. Seriously this is nonsense.

I am currently in Silver 5, I was in silver 3, but you know what... It wouldn't matter if I was in bronze. The games at this level are all the same... It's a gamble. The gamble is this; Will i be on the team with more players that have basic understanding or less players. The only thing that changes as a player approaches gold is their odds get worse. In bronze their may only be 1-3 players per side that are decent. So there are a lot of essentially 2v3's or 1v3's with the rest of the teams essentially being fodder. then as we get into silver, the question is which team will get the rocks. I have a question riot... Can't you come up with a matchmaking system that actually works? This last elo reset you did really just screwed up the whole thing. The climb is sooo challenging it's stupid. And it's not challenging because the game is hard, it's challenging because you have to be at platinum level to get into gold. You have to carry a bunch of people that not only don't know how to play, but get angry at you if you try to suggest something. Ugh, I don't even really know what to say. I don't know why I even still bother to play this game. maybe it's because of the hope of finally getting into a tier that matches my skill level, probably about gold iv, and then getting to play actual games instead of this mockery I am currently faced with. I shouldn't have to tell people to stop trying to solo the person they just died to 3 times in a row, just to then get muted for trying to offer advice.... Not even in an angry way. All those people should be in the same league so they won't screw up the games for the people who have already learned how to play. I thought that was kind of the idea of matchmaking, but it all seems so jumbled in skill levels until you get to gold 3. Before then, a bronze, a silver... it's all just nonsense. You might as well group it all into one category and call it elohell.
