custom map skins from riot?

when riot changed up their game file types , they inadvertently removed custom skins from the game as well. ( which were allowed ) custom skins where amazing designs that kept the game feeling just a bit more fresh. however , champion skins can be bought in the store , what can't be found anymore or used are MAPSKINS there where a lot of custom map skins you could download , these didn't change the layout of the map or provide any more or less vision they where simply visual overlays. its clear that riot has the ability to change summoners rift , they do it during worlds event's and they do it during Christmas with the_ beautiful winter map_. will we ever see an option to permanently have the winter map toggled on? i'd even purchase the option to enable a map skin similar to how you'd buy a regular skin. to me its just a matter of time , they have skins , then they made ward skins , then they made skins for skins ( chromas ) and just now they released a customized recall animation for nexus blitz , which i'm hoping will catch on to summoners rift soon. but for now , is there any way riot would allow us to permanently keep the winter map? its so beautiful and while it doesn't change game play it helps to give you that fresh feeling the old veteran players crave.
