AP Stats Project

To those reading this post (Hopefully a Riot Employee sees this) Good afternoon, my name is Dale (JG main who's currently living the Silver 3 dream summoner 11 Khazix ). I'm currently in 11th grade, and I'm in an AP Statistics Class. For our End-of-the-Year Statistics Project, I wanted to do an experiment involving League of Legends. (link to the complete plan for the experiment can be found above).

In order to actually perform the experiment, we need certain data for each Elo (If it doesn't violate any of the Terms of Use for the players in League of Legends). My group was curious about whether or not if we could obtain the average CS, Gold Obtained, Wards Placed, etc. for each Elo. Our experiment involves comparing a player's CS, Wards Placed, etc., with the average CS, Wards Placed, etc. for their Elo. By obtaining the average CS, Wards Placed, etc. for Bronze, Silver, Gold, and for the rest of the Elos, then we could proceed with our experiment.

Another question that we had that involved our experiment was if we could obtain the average MMR for each Elo. As of now, we are going off of a post found on the League of Legend Boards online:

http://boards.euw.leagueoflegends.com/en/c/champions-gameplay-en/ONXtEyFR-estimated-mmr-values-of-each-and-every-division-placements-explained

How accurate is this post? How close/far off is this from the real average MMR for each Elo? We want to have the most accurate data for our experiment, and we would appreciate it if we were able to obtain the exact MMR for each Elo from the Riot Games team. On the topic of MMR. are websites, such as lol-mmr.com and na.op.gg, accuate when it comes to calculating MMR? We understand that these are 3rd party services, meaning that they may not be accurate. But, is there one website that you guys, as the company, would say is the most accurate when it comes to calculating MMR? It would greatly boost our experiment's credibility.

Thank you for taking time out of your day to read this message. We understand that you may not be able to give us certain info because of privacy reasons, but we would appreciate any info that would help us with our experiment. Once again, we'd like to say thank you, and have a wonderful day.

In case anybody was wondering, I submitted a request with this exact message on https://support.riotgames.com/hc/en-us and was told by the Riot employee who replied back to post this request on the boards and the developer forums

Open to feedback!

I think that there is and API where you can get a lot of data from Riot.
