Problem champions in Aram from an Aram only player.

  1. Maokai Maokai - Bush control should be accessible to both teams depending on the state of the game. Maokai's team gets to play without the enemy team being able to reduce vision in the bush.

  2. Zyra Zyra - Obvious issue here, the plants are too strong, too many, too consistent, too reliable. With the limited space of the bridge the plants cramp the area making the game less fun for the enemy team.

  3. Veigar Veigar - While his damaging kit isn't an actual issue, raw power isn't something that should be worried about on Aram, Veigars stun has the same problem as Zyra's plants where the area restriction on the small map is countering fun.

  4. Fiddlesticks Fiddlesticks - Almost impossible for a team to not group on Aram in a way that wont assure either fantastic E bounces or devastating ults. His poke is free and unaimed. A game with Fiddlesticks is never over, one good ult and one push ends an entire game which is a problem.

  5. Lux Lux - Starting at level 6 Lux's enemies no longer have minion waves.

  6. Shaco Shaco - While not uncounterable, invisible trap placing is inherently unwelcome on Aram.

  7. Teemo Teemo - ^

For Shaco Teemo theres item 2047 .

Agree on the others.

Also surprised Sona isnt on this list with her easy teamwide utility and autotargeted poke.

Edit: just checked and Sona has between 65-71% aram winrate. Lmao, not a shocker tho.

for 6 and 7 there is that oracle potion that everybody buys that just straight up beats the shit out of those 2, i think there should just be like a more competitive aram and a normal aram because i play aram just to untilt in a game and i don't want the op champs nerfed, i want to get the op champs and abuse them

>claims he's an "aram only player" to validate his opinion about 'unhealthy champions' >complains about "invisible traps"

Holy fuck.

Alistar Leona Champs that are designed to be really tanky on a support's budget in SR now get the same budget as everyone else

Blitzcrank When the whole game's a 5v5, unless your're a super tank, a hook landing = 100% instant death

Anivia Since there's only one lane she can pretty much stall forever, And a max rank wall can span most of the lane

How about Kog and Ziggs?

You're right most of those champs are S tier. I disagree that Teemo and Shaco are problems though. They are simply annoying.

You have three classes of champs that are generally OP in ARAM:

  • Mages with high damage, range, and cc. Some I can think of that haven't been mentioned yet include Ziggs, Vel'Koz, Xerath, Heimerdinger, Malzahar, Morgana, Karthus, and Swain.

  • Certain ADCs. You have meta ADCs like Jhin and MF that can pump out high damage at safe distances and turn team fights with their ults. You also have niche ADCs like Sivir who has insane wave clear and can speed everyone up. Kog'Maw is another niche ADC who is strong because he can melt everyone with AD or AP.

  • Tanky juggernauts. It helps to have someone on your team who can walk at the enemy and delete squishies. Champs like Dr. Mundo, Illaoi, Yorick, and Sion can do that well after they have a few items.

You also have classes of champs that are "problems" in ARAM because they often throw games:

  • High skill cap champs. Since most people don't main what they play in ARAM, they usually suck at champions that take a lot of practice. That's why champs like Bard, LeBlanc, and Ryze are bad news.

  • Fighters/assassins. In a good team comp, fighters and assassins can do well, but they end up feeding if they don't have good windows to engage. That's why champs like Akali, Katarina, Riven, Tryndamere, and Fizz often end up losing. Their team comp didn't give them the chance to do what they do well.

  • Junglers. Jungle champs have a hard time in ARAM because they can't buy jungle items and their early game is balanced around numbers advantages from ganks, something that doesn't happen without a jungle. I think the only two jungle champs that have better than 50% win rates in ARAM are Graves because he can play like an ADC and Amumu because he can be a tanky stun bot.
