"Definitely Not Dominion"

Yeah, I'm not sure what to make of this yet either. It looks like they heavily shifted Dominion to make it more approachable for casuals. At first glance, it just seems like they gutted most of Dominion's charm and nuance by de-emphasizing skirmishing and roaming in favor of laning and sieging.

I'll give it a try when/if it hits Live, but right now it looks less like Dominion and more like "ARAM with a jungle."
