Like what kind of name is virus injector? Someone at riot has a sense of humour.
someone at riot needs to install malwarebytes and test for shit like this so we, the players, don't have to sit here and deal with the crap that they're making us go through just because what it probably is is mwb picking up the "virus" in the file name and setting off the false positive.

Same here. Apparently it's a false alert but even when I restored/excluded all files that Malwarebytes had blocked, nothing happens. I deleted 2 main files ("LoL.launcher" + "Lol.air.client"), now it's currently uploading the missing files back.. We'll see.. Hopefully it won't be a problem anymore..
Btw.. What's wrong with the file name ? o.O I thought we had our dose of troll on April's Fool day. Jeez'... [slayer-jinx-unamused]

Literally just started happening to me 20 minutes ago... Out of nowhere. I logged off to play a game of Overwatch, came back and now it's blocking me from getting to the login screen.
Bump. I just got this problem myself. I started up the client to play some arams, and malwarebytes stopped me. Didn't do it last night. Found it in the same place as Jasonxhx. It was quarantined and removed, but the notification still pops up when I try running the game. Running scans, and warning buddies that something may be wrong.
What is that ? I just got the same thing ... I hope the support will be able to see what is that ! You , don't think that league actually put virus in our computers , right ?
Same thing going on here. I really hope I don't have to reduce my protection to play this already stressful and unpleasant game.
...Actually, this might be a good excuse for me to stop playing for a while. Nevermind, Riot! Don't fix it. Just like everything else in your game.
Even after restoring and making an exception to the ENTIRE league folder, still won't open...
EDIT: After restoring it and making an exception on the entire riot folder, I was finally able to have it open... kind of concerning.

Found it in C:\Riot Games\League of Legends\RADS\projects\lol_air_client\releases\0.0.1.195\deploy\LolClient.exe
Got it too. Pretty shocking that Riot hasn't mentioned anything about it yet.

Same problem here. Just opened my client to patch up, and boom. Malware tells me that its a NoNo. However, i cant get it to work even if i accept the folder league of legends in malware, nor deactivating malware, so im guessing the problem with that the client --> to login screen must be something else?
Riot should compensate! :D
I tried opening it while Malwarebytes is off .... same thing, i click on the ' Launch ' and then everything disappears.

FALSE DETECTION! go into Malwarebytes and RESTORE the file, then make sure to add the League of Legends folder to the MALWARE EXCLUSIONS folder in Malwarebytes or you won't be able to play.
I have this issue too. I made it as an exception but ever since 6.7 my computer has been a little weird I'm not sure whats going on
So are we all using Malwarebytes? Anyone using any other protection?
So what if I just emptied my quarantine of all the threats... and can't restore the file, do I have to repair the client or do I have to entirely reinstall?
