Losing a 4 v 5 ... now with 25% more fun!

Logged in yesterday to play a few games of league. Because I stopped once Riot forced the new client on everyone. Roomate was playing the Playstation 2, I was already reading up on the 2 patches I havn't played through. Decided. Why not yeah? Well yesterday I played about, eight? Eight games? Maybe eight games. Had an afk in at least four them. Felt like five games. Fairly sure I had an afk five games. Definately four out of eight games.

One of these games, I was put as Mid and wanted top. So I ask our top laner if they mind switching with me? So I can Darius top. Guy selects Nasus (first pick) and says sure he don't mind. He's gonna go AP Nasus. I tell him I'm done with that. I support AP Nasus. Before load screen starts Nasus says RIP Toplane. Referring to the enemy picking teemo. Load screen. It's Omega Squad Teemo.

Start of game, Nasus says Darius can work mid and he can switch with me if he wants. Doesn't like the Teemo vs Darius match up. Well I first blood, and second blood too I think. Got ahead, Shyv didn't show up and when she did I got a double kill. Sometime around this point I realize Nasus had quit and went afk. ???? Rest of the mach that followed was a 40+ min match of me running around and 1 v 3 and 2 v 5'ing the enemy team. We had a support Rakan, and that guy was Gold. Like, not gold rank. Gold. Valuable metal. Precious team mate.

Guy rode around with me ready to throw down. I couldn't push, because if I did rest of my 3 allies would lose a fight. I fight, but can't splitpush. Our Lucian and Udyr, for some reason, couldn't even hold off the super minions pushing into our base. Lucian died to them and got executed. So I'd go in base, shove out waves, ambush the enemy in our jungle. Chase em down mid. Turret dive. Push. Kill. Fall back. Defend.

No matter what though I simply couldn't defend our base and make any meaningful advances towards the enemy nexus. We eventually lost, I got a Friendly/Helpful team mate honor, and +2 Honorable Opponent honors. Lost the match ending with a kda of 25/3/7. So, big deal right? What's the point? Moral of this story is, I should be pissed. Upset, angry, and frustrated about this loss. But I dunno, taking a break and finding other games to play, coming back to league. It seems like just a game to me now. I don't care so much about it, I can keep it casual.

I actually had fun. Sucks I lost but it feels great to come back from a month + break from playing and get back in the saddle and school the normies. I'm sure you guys have had similar experiances too? Share those in the comments below! The main point I wanna make, is that we can enjoy losing matches, even if we didn't EARN the loss (losing because of afk/feeder/unfair circumstances as opposed to losing to superior enemy skill/making poor choices.
