Flamed for taking kills

I am starting to play jungle and when I gank I would take the kill but my laners (usually mid) flames for taking the kill. The mid says I should give him all the gank kills so he can get fed and he threatens to report me if he does not get the kill. What would you do, and note the mid laner isn't at disadvantage he is pretty even with his opponent.

You're laner was dumb. If he threatened to report I would just tell him go for it. His reports actually lose weight if they're for stupid things.

Either. It doesn't matter. It's a team game. Also, if he wants to report, he can do it. It won't help. You cannot be reported for KS and his report weight will probably drop after a few reports like that. Also you should have reported him. Threatening reports is harassment, crying KS is anywhere from negative attitude to verbal abuse. Oh and one last thing, there is no such rule that says jungler cannot get kills.

Depends, if your mid lane and the enemy mid lane is evenly matched, or if your mid laner is losing it is probably better to give him the kill.

Otherwise, it doesn't matter.

Often it depends on who the champs are and the time of game. Like if I am a jungler and my laner is riven I want her getting the kills early so she can be Riven. But if I am malphite and my jungler is lee sin or Kha I want him to get the kills. Often times the lead comes from the exp and the cs difference more than it does from the 150 difference in kill gold. Just ignore people who act like that.

It's good habit to try and give kills to the lane depending on who everyone is playing. If they are a tank, don't bother giving them kills, they won't be building damage and can't make much use of it. If they are a carry, giving them one or two early kills can give them a snowball and still allow you to snowball yourself. If they are utility/tank or something along those lines and you are an assassin, getting some early kills is a good idea for yourself. Consider who will snowball the hardest and feed them, don't worry about those that can't make use of the extra gold.

The problem is that "giving kills" doesn't always happen the way you want. You could back off and let the midlaner try to get the last hit, but maybe they have flash or barrier or midlaner misses a skill shot, or that extra three seconds gives the enemy jungler a chance to counter-gank and kill your midlaner.

There are so many variables and possibilities that 90% of the time just take the kill and make sure they are dead. I have tried giving laners kills many many times only to result in them not dying and sometimes even getting the kill due to a bad dive. Just make sure you make the most out of the gold you get and gank again.
