League Reworks

Ok the crybabies are actually getting on my nerves lately. "My main has been ruined by this rework, I now have to find a new main" Well, you were not a main then. "This champion is so under powered now" Then why is that champion picked more often and played well?

You know, It really comes down to if you are really a main or a fake main for that champion. I main sona, and I have since the "golden" days. you know the infinite aura times, long range heals and speed. I remember when they did her rework. "Sona is now ANTI-FUN", "Sona is ruined for ever with timed auras", "Sona has to stay to close to the group now" A lot of the older Sona "mains" dropped her after that, but you know what I did? I relearned her cooldown timers, ranges, and how to play her optimally. why? because I AM a main, not someone who only claims to be a main.

So for all of you who used to main the recently reworked WW, grow a pair and relearn. Other wise you are no more than a cry baby who never really mained that champion in the first place.

Reworks can change the hell out of a champion, even if it does irritate you in the beginning, but you cant complain if you no longer play them. Thats all on you not wanting to relearn.

When a rework is significant, it's no longer the same champion. Just because it has the same name doesn't mean the core champion is similar in the slightest.

I wouldn't consider myself an ex-Poppy main, but I did play a lot of her before her rework. I liked people underestimating the passive plus the ability to go into whole teams and wreak havoc, sometimes even going for a full-on AP assassin build. New Poppy is entirely different. Similar thing with Sion. I had a friend who loved doing a 3-Zeal rush, landing the targeted stun, then autoing the target to death with his E passive AD bonus, and using the ult's insane life steal if the target didn't die before the stun wore off. New Sion is entirely different.

Of course, not every rework has been so extreme. Sona's were on the lighter end of the spectrum, and I think the biggest change to Trundle was going from a filth theme to an ice theme.

Let's say you log in on the day of patch 7.3, and Sona seems different. In fact, someone took all of Singed's assets, did a pallet swap, and then did a Find And Replace All, replacing "Singed" with "Sona". If you decide you're going to stay loyal to Sona at that point, that means you're just loyal to the name. (I personally think that's silly.)

Of course, LoL hasn't gone that far with any of its reworks, and it seems unlikely, short of an April Fool's joke. But there's still a wide spectrum of opinions on what is "changing a character" versus what is "turning it into a different character" (AKA "destroying my main").

Doesn't change the fact that her rework didn't solve any problems. http://na.leagueoflegends.com/en/champion-update/sona-maven-of-the-strings Check that link and scroll down to the comments. ^ "I know one voice won't make a difference, but this kit change won't help Sona, it will just put her into the pool of champs that only a few players will bother to pick." "Wow, so she's actually being pushed live...despite all the complaints..." "Opens up room for counterplay is more like makes her completely useless against the majority of support champs" "This rework is pathetic and that riot has refused to listen to so many player complaints about it is even worse." "This. Is. Awful. What the heck, guys? Who did you give this to? He mauled it, whoever it was. Thanks for nothing. My favorite champ is now just a paperweight that I own all of the skins for."

They're crying because they're voicing their opinion hoping that Riot will do something. Instead we have a rework that hasn't solved anything and only managed to irritate the player base while making all existing Sona players scared of future reworks. If her rework was good then this wouldn't be an issue and all Sona's old mains would still play her. All it did was give us a slightly worse version of Sona that no one wanted, this is undeniable. She should have remained the same because the rework didn't solve any issues.

... Im not here to talk about if a rework was good or not, if thats what you are planning to bring up in a thread like this leave please. This is a thread about how people who claim to be a main abandon a champion the moment a change happens.

You sir have my respect. I am currently Rek'Sai main. I changed my main like 5 times. And i really think Rek'Sai has my playstyle. In this black ages of Yasuo every game(not becouse something but it's just boring) I only enjoy playing Rek'Sai and WarWick but he is just too cool for me to not play him. And now they are going to make her AD diver (now i play her as a tank) and I have no problem with this. I was jokeing that I am 100% main WarWick but one good Ranked with Rek'Sai really make my day. And if they think this is best for her then I will let them do it (not like I can stop them). But maybe I will weit for the pros to play her.
