Subjective Evaluation of Ekko

Prefix - Currently Ekko is being slightly nerfed on PBE ,

Ekko Base movement speed reduced to 340 from 345 Phase Drive (E) damage reduced to 30/60/90/120/150 from 50/80/110/140/170 Source - Surrenderat20.net

So to start of the analysis of Ekko i want to mention that I played a dozen Ekko ranked games and played a lot of Ekko on the PBE client given the opportunity as people rushed to insta-lock him. Now since Ekko first came out a lot of people have begun to adapt to him and i'm highly looking forward to the statistics on his win rate in all tiers of ranked.

Survival

Ekko's kit is very well rounded, he has the ability to get in a fight, assassinate a carry, and get out without putting his team into jeopardy. An example would be Leblanc who jumps around kills the enemy carries and jumps right out with a zhonyas as a safety resource. Ekko's W which is a 3 second delayed stun that the opponents can only see for a short period of time before it lands. Champions who have a dash or even the summoner spell flash have a great opportunity to avoid being stunned for days by Ekko. At this point Ekko would have to either ultimate out of the fray or dedicate to killing a carry who is not locked in place with teammates swarming him. Being very vulnerable to CC, Ekko is squishy enough to die in the duration of a typical stun.

Damage

Ekko's damage is often compared to that of a Fizz but it's not accurate to use Fizz as a central comparison point. Fizz has the same if not greater survivability then Ekko and takes a lot less effort to kill a carry in the back. Ekko has amateurish ability scaling and the one thing that pulls him up to the top is his passives 3'rd hit. Combined with a lich bane + e + 3'rd proc of passive a lot of people's arguments against Ekko's 1000 damage is reasonable. Ekko is an ASSASSIN, for having to go through the trouble of landing 3 sources of damage on the carry 1000 damage is a fine number.

Balance issues

I've come to realize that EKko is unbalanced when places in the hands of good players. Zhonyas makes Ekko an unstoppable force. Going into a fight with his bubble shield and possibly a massive stun on enemies Ekko can take a good beating, Zhonyas and at that point his ult will be where the enemy fighters will be waiting to remove the Boy Who Shattered Time from the rest of the fight. At 600 ability power Ekko's ult would do over 1000 damage (Not including MR) to any soul unlucky enough to be in his wide ultimate range.

FInal opinions - Ekko is not as Overpowered as everyone claims him to be and is easily adapted to. Changes should be made to make him less of a nuisance in teamfights where he can stun for days and hit everyone for 1000 damage with his ultimate.
