Sõna2 votesI seriously need this badly, because I am not from Europe or any closer, I have my ping at this server like 200-300ms, It will be so much helpful if implemented ping checker so I can actually see which server is geographically suitable for me..
WukongMain1 votesI'm sitting here trying to decide if by some chance having every idle league client all checking pings would somehow cause the overall ping everyone gets to go up even the slightest.
I'm sure there should be come change? Having so many clients checking pings ( You have to send and receive a extremely small amount of data to check ping). I know it should affect something, But not sure of technology has reached a point where that's basically prevented. Hmmmmmm...

Or the ping could be calculated from the calls the client ALREADY makes. Your friends list is constantly updated so you can see when people come online. Wouldn't be crazy to add a check for how long it takes to receive that data.
Friends list and in-game may not be using the same server but it'd be an easy way to see if your internet is having a fit
Hydroxlic1 votesIf you go to your start menu and type Run, open the command prompt and type "ping 104.160.131.1 -t" without the "s it will give you your ping and its generally accurate by a bit, mine usually says I'm at 43-45 ping well I'm usually 48 ping in game.

Command prompt typing Ping just sends a ping to the ip you typed.
Hydroxlic1 votesBut just putting in the ping only sends a couple of pings and it goes fast. Typing the -t at the end makes it infinite so I have this running constantly in the background on my computer.

Lxlxxlxl991 votesthat seems complicate compair to just open a league client and check it before starting a game because you have the ping checker at ur right before starting ur game lol
Hydroxlic1 votesits less complicated since the Run command remembers the previous order given so just open the run command and the ping to the server will be the first option, and its easier since then you do not have to actually run the game and can see if your ping is shit before hand to save the hassle of having to open the client every now and then to see if its calmed down.
Like I said I have mine running 24/7 in the background since its generally accurate and it helps with other things to, because if I'm getting lag with nothing open and its generally stating that, then I know not to really try to play anything since the ping will be pretty much the same no matter what game I try to play.

Support Position1 votesHi there, open a support ticket between 3pm (EST) - 12 (I think) am EST and ask for a MTR link and the Ping for their servers! ^-^ free ping checker and you dont have to open the client :3 (Open the ticket with technical help and go with live chat between those times. Very quick usually)
