if i take jungle and dont jungle will i get banned?

so i just go 2 top like my enemies last game and completely stomp. is that fine? or is that strictly a duo troll thing. just wondering.

Riots views on this is generally, as long as you tell your teammates whay you are doing and they are okay with it, its fine.

Im guessing if you have a pre top it is alright.

Pretty sure that their view on this is you have to inform you team, AND they have to be okay with it.

There was the Singed support that got banned for taking smite and roaming to counter enemy jg that got banned even after letting his team know what he was doing in the pre game lobby.

There was also the roaming Teemo support that got banned for the same thing.

I think that Riot typically does not like the out of meta gameplay in ranked unless the team agrees to it.

Mind you I do not think they would actually do anything like ban the person doing this unless they are doing it in Master or higher..

Probably not, unless you're trolling teammates by doing so. Take a support item and duo top. You do you.

Just know that once the enemy jungler figures out you're not farming the jungle, they'll powerfarm both sides and dominate the game.

If it's ranked and you're not playing your designated role (without informing your team) it is bannable. Example being if you queue as jungle and then say "Nah, I'm going top", that's considered griefing.

If it's blinds, you can do whatever you want regardless of what people say. Drafts, I honestly can't remember but I'd say it might not be bannable since it's not as serious of an environment, you know?
