Ideas for the Maokai update in the Vanguard update

Hi Readers! I thought about the Maokai update in the Vanguard update. Most of my ideas are just showing a possibility, while others are reworked mechanics/Abilitys. Its just a list, dont expect much text.

  1. Let other Abilitys interact with his passive instaed fo pure AAs. Example: You gain life depending on his stacks and how many people he hits with his Q, Minions are 25% worth of a champ.
  2. Champs hit by his sapling are marked and Maokai kann W over a increased range to them. The normal range for his W is reduced.
  3. Saplings block Skillshots and can get hit by targeted abilitys like AA or Annie Q. They cant die, but getting slowed.
  4. Champions hit by Q giving him 2x or 1.5x the amount of stacks when using an ability.
  5. Probably my best idea: When R is activated he no longer gets dmg reduction, but gets shields, when an enemy near him casts an ability. These shields are magic or normal shields, depending on the enemy dmg type (like Camille Passive). His allys in his R are getting dmg reduction depending on how much shields he gets. The longer his R is activated --> more dmg reduction.
  6. Units, who are getting hit by the skillshot of his Q (not the circle around him) are beeing prioritized, by Sapling in a 350 range.

Personally I would not make his W point and click while keeping the %health damage on it. But that's just me.

I would prefer him to become the "Defensive Root" Tank.

Passive- Sap Magic REWORKED: Now heals Maokai and nearby allied champions for 3/4/5% of Maokai's maximum health with his next basic attack after he has rooted an enemy champion 5/4/3 times.

Q- Arcane Smash Damage: 70/115/160/205/250 (+40% AP) -> 60/95/130/165/200 (+35% AP) Slow: Removed NEW Root: Now roots all enemies hit for 0.5/0.75/1/1.25/1.5 second(s) Knockback: Removed NEW Enhanced Root: Now also Grounds enemies for 1.5 seconds after the Root expires if they are within the previous knockback range Mana Cost: 45/50/55/60/65 mana -> 40/45/50/55/60 mana Cool Down: 8/7.5/7/6.5/6 seconds -> 10/9.25/8.5/7.75/7 seconds

W- Twisted Advance NEW Twisted Dash: Is no longer targeted, instead causing Maokai to dash in the target direction while being untargetable, causing all enemies he collides with to take the damage from this ability and be rooted. Damage: 9/10/11/12/13% (+3% per 100 AP) maximum health -> 6/7/8/9/10% (+1% per 100 AP) maximum health Root Duration: 1/1.25/1.5/1.75/2 second(s) -> 0.75/1/1.25/1.5/1.75 second(s) NEW Delayed Advance: Now has a 0.25 second delay before casting Range: 525 -> 575 Mana Cost: 75 mana -> 70/75/80/85/90 mana Cool Down: 13/12/11/10/9 seconds -> 15/14/13/12/11 seconds

E- Sapling Toss Slow: Removed NEW Sapling Trap: Now causes the enemy the Sapling collided with to be rooted for 0.25/0.5/0.75/1/1.25 second(s) Sapling Duration: 40/45/50/55/60 seconds -> 45/60/75/90/105 seconds AP Ratio: 60% AP -> 45% AP Mana Cost: 60/70/80/90/100 mana -> 50/55/60/65/70 mana

R- Vengeful Maelstrom Minimum Damage: 100/150/200 (+50% AP) -> 50/100/150 (+35% AP) Maximum Damage: 200/300/400 (+50% AP) -> 100/200/300 (+70% AP) Damage Mitigated: 20% -> 20/22.5/25% Range: 475 -> 500 Mana Cost: 40 + 30 mana per second -> 30 + 20 mana per second Cool Down: 60/50/40 seconds -> 75/55/35 seconds
