Playing An Actual Tank Sucks

You cannot do your job anymore in solo q games. Hoping that your carries do not feed early and make your tank champ useless is kind of a wet dream at this point of "China of Legends". Low elo has some of the worst seasons by far. It feels near impossible to climb correctly as a tank. Why is Riot forcing tank mains to play carries now? If you dont you cannot really push towers because if you want to have an early game you cannot run demolish. Especially when the Resolve Rune Tree is suppose to be a good counter to Domination and Sorcery which it's not. In fact, Domination, sorcery, and precision rune tree are the most run runes in this game. Since there are 10 champs in total and 2 rune trees for each, I have seen and this is no joke at least on average 8 to 9 of those 20 being the domination rune or 7 to 8 being the precision rune tree. This has got to stop. In most cases Im the only one going resolve because I love tanks. In very few cases I see it 2 out of 20 and when a unicorn appears I see it 3 out of 20. Why is that? I can tell you why. Damage is always going to be prioritized over health and here are a few facts to back that up.

  1. Damage gets objectives more so than hp
  2. Damage gets kills health only prevents
  3. Damage is easier to snowball considering the constant nerfs to tanks over the last three seasons.
  4. Damage secures games. That is just a fact.

The problem right now is that tanks have no viable way to prevent their teammates from dying or themselves from being deleted from the face of "China of Legends" Split pushing has become almost an irrelevant strat since junglers prop their tents in the top mid or bot lane. Tanks have no sufficient way of dealing with AP scaling unless you can build spirit like DrMundo and other tanks that have built in mr.

Some games I do win because my team will play together and thats were tanks can really do something but this current meta rewards backwards gameplay. It is all about me me me. Im the carry so let me have all the gold and dont lecture me about macro because im the carry while tanks are sittin g there trying to save everyones butts because tanks are the most selfless class in the game. Tanks are meant to play as a team but the most glaring problem is damage. Even Riot fucked up Ornn because they also made him a trendy as fuck burst champ by removing all complexity and counter play to his kit. I loved ornn until they made him into a burst tank. Its not what the community wants. Let tanks be tanks for fuck sake.

Here is the most logical explanation I can give. Tank mains find tanks fun because they can tank. Adc mains find adcs fun because they can deal a lot of sustained dmg. Assassin mains find assassins fun when they are burst. Mage mains find mages fun because they are shit at the game and cried enough on reddit to get insane item buffs that put Dota 2 Items to shame.

Make Tanks more like tanks please. I do not care for dmg as a tank. I look for self mitigated dmg and cc or ward score as a tank. Everything else is pointless to me. I do not want more dmg on my main role. I want to be able to do something in teamfights without feeling like a god damn bruiser.

I promised myself never to play a tank again and permanently retired any tank tops after goign against vayne & mage tops. Tanks can work well in fixed 5 player teams where comps are coordinated or in pro play but fuk playing that in soloque. Pro and solo que are two completely different games.
