Last season i was B5 (yeah i know i know), so instead of grinding ranked i practiced for a whole season with minimum ranked games. This season i go into my placements and go 9 wins 1 loss (you can check my match history hecarim op!) but i still got b5. Can someone explain how this works?!?!?!?!?!
You cant get higher than last season.But you can increase your mmr alot.Wich will helps you with your climbing.
your rank always ends up lower than what you were last season.(UNLESS, you have exceptionally high MMR)
In your case, you cant go any lower, so you stayed the same rank.
Even if you win all your placements you can't end up higher than last season so if you were b5 you could be above that and since can't go any lower you got placed in B5 again
