When i asked Riot why Nocturne isn't included in Assassin Rework, Riot Meddler posted this as Answer.. (tl;dr: They see Nocturne, like Aatrox, Wukong and Xin Zhao as a class they call " diving Fighter ", also he mention they will get some changes )

So the Assassin Rework is in a near Future so im was thinking what are @Riot's Plans for the " Diving Fighter " Class.

Any News ? Calling you @Meddler

Remember: This is only if they will do a Diving Fighter Update.

Since it's only IF. I fully support Xin Zhao getting changes.

I can't possibly say.

Diver's seem to be classified as a champ that is semi tanky, and can deal some level of DPS. But they arn't likely going to have the same level of DPS as skirmisher.

I'm not sure where a Diver's engage tool comes in the meta. They don't have the burst to kill squishies quickly (like an Assassin) But they don't have the disruption to be a primary team fighter (Like a True Tank)

Rather, it seems like they are designed to lock down but a single target, while being just tanky enough withstand retaliation. Offering only moderate level damage while getting the assistance from a teammate to finish them off. Where if anywhere does that have a place in the meta?

If I had to answer that question, Divers would inevitably Jungle focused. As such engage tools make them good gankers. (Hercarim is a good example, and both Jarven and Vi are historically Junglers.) And with the Jungle in mind, I would expect to see changes to Rek'sai, as she was released as a diver, but turned into more of a Tank, as the result of itemization.
