You placed 5 wards in 35 minutes. That is absolutely abysmal for yellow trinket. That means you so frequently just sat with 2 charges. You can't ignore part of the game, and expect to be graded as the best of the best. Also, 0 pink wards.

Your farm is really low for 35 minutes. 224 CS is what you'd expect as 'good' cs at like 22 to 25 minutes.

But, wards and CS can't be all.

Literally my last game last night, I was Cam top, and I was 13/2/2 in a 33 min game, 248 CS with only 11 wards placed and NO control wards. (sidenote, I usually do better, but I was doing well and pushed and found myself not in need of wasting the money and backing at perfect intervals to make EXACT purchase upgrades) And I got an S. So this lucian, yes, had less ward placement but that can't be all, because stat-wise, I did comparable to him if not a little worse. He had just shy over 70.8% Kill participation. Whereas I had only 39.5%. To me, vision stuff aside, he had a better game than my camille game..but awarded less.

A few things. Camille isn't Lucian. They'll have different score lines possible and such.

With that in mind, wards CAN be all that stopped him from an S. He got an A+ which means he was soooo close to getting an S.

Your Camille game had double the wards in less time. You also had less than half the deaths (deaths matter a bunch since dying at the wrong time even if you're ahead means you throw the game hard). You also did damage to objectives that was different to turrets, while his damage to turrets and damage to objectives (turrets being a subset of objectives) were identicle. This means that he did not participate in his teams only dragon. Now, this might be reasonable depending on the situation, based on who is dead, where he is up. However, your participation in killing objectives also counts.

I understand the warding bit but I really didn't need to cs that much after 20 mins cause I was hugely ahead and just focusing kills and towers, also the rest of my team took my cs late so I couldn't get much.

It might mean less as time goes on, but I have yet to see that CS/10 matters less as the game progresses. There are still 3 lanes pushing out waves every 30. My guess is the warding is what actually did you in.

Aint all about kills, as someone else said your cs was barely over 5 per min which is awful, especially as lucian who has pretty good waveclear, plus your vision score was awful.

I've wondered the same thing bud.

I went 7/0/6, 188 CS and top damage on my team as Teemo top, carried the team....A

I went 12/5/4, 225 CS as Udyr Jung....A+

I have heard rumors that you get your rank compared to that champ in THAT lane you played as others have played it in that lane. So if I played Udyr ADC, I could do severely worse and get a higher rank.

I've also heard conjecture that it has something to do with wards placed or overall team stuff.

Honestly, I have no idea how they base it.... I have had a game where I was Nasus top, I was like 2/3/17 and I got an S. But I was on leona as support, did the EXACT same KDA, but got an A. I realize I had less CS, but you SHOULD have less CS as a support. But I am almost certain I placed more wards.

Who knows. It's a crap shoot tbh.

No it's not a crap shoot. It's decently understood. It IS champion and role dependent since Top Udyr can perform different than Jungle Udyr. Top Nasus certainly performs different than Leona support. Wards absolutely do affect it. Assume if it shows up in the score board, it affects the grade.

I get that. But just because someone goes a shade off-meta, shouldn't warrant them a higher chance to get a higher rank when they have less kill participation. If I decided to play Amumu ADC, and went 5/1/6, I bet I'd get S. But getting 5/1/6 in jung where Amumu normally plays, that would get him a B at best. Just because an Amumu ADC HAPPENED to work in one game, doesn't mean that he did S-worthy gameplay. It means he got carried...and that's about it.

Well doing that well as Amumu adc WOULD be hella good gameplay. You're at such a disadvantage because you're not equipped real well to lane there. So many double ranged lanes. you'll get poked out, plus your hella low damage early.

You're right... My friend played pre-reworrk Urgot jungle and every game he went positive he got at least an S- lol
