after 750 gold smite does flat true damage to champions WITH an added bonus

stalkers upgrade from machete will now slow AND deal true damage on cast with a 1 minute CD.. as a support thats godly compared to ignite

thoughts?

I don't have to pay 750 gold for my ignite. lol Also i much prefer when my support has exhaust.

Also, dat healing debuff. (Also, exhaust still better, since it will set up your ADC for the kill easier)

true i only play annie support so i just think of it for a kill lane, even for a top or mid who takes ignite it seems stronger

you would be sacrificing a lot of bonus gold for a 60 second ignite that can slow. It really isn't worth it when there are other items you can build more effectively

Can you take machete and a support gold item? If not it seems like you'd be trading a lot of income for that smite.

It's an item slot that could've had: A item 3072 or a item 3071 or item 3128 so no it's not better than ignite it's just much less potential damage, tankiness etc. etc.

I rather just use Ignite or Exhaust

The first 5-7 minutes of laning are the most crucial for botlane, if not all the lanes. The level 2 all in's that can decide the fate of a lane.

Main problem is that none of the jungle items give many good stats for supports. Sure the ap is nice but there are other items which are better. The real benefit i see comes from you being able to give the jungler a really good leash and being able to secure the scuttle crab while still having a smite for baron or dragon.
