Voice chat... it will solve lots of solo que problems... and it will help newer champs like bard to be played more without miscoordination or COMMUNICATION....Kat is a very problematic SOLO que champ.. but, only because teams have no direction and waste cc on the nearest target rather than planning ahead for kats clean up. Some people might say this would cause more toxicity in games, well in Dota 2 this actually doesn't happen as often as you think, its used more for supporting other teammates and setting up Roshans... ill edit this post if it gets enough attention, Id like to hear from the community on this.

Seeing how people are in chat i wouldnt want a voice chat option for the game! im perfectly fine just talking to my friends when we play together! hearing random people shout/playing loud music/swearing would just make me uneasy to play this game. if there is an option to mute all together that would be nice, but also how would reporting go when using a system like that?

My objections, in approximate order:

  1. Can't record and punish toxic behavior like you can with chat
  2. Players that don't sound like typical dudes (female players, particularly young or old people, uncommon accents) get treated like crap
  3. Often people have annoying background sounds -- crap music, they're eating, loud people -- and I'd like to mute that, but I need to hear what the player has to say about the game

I primarily play dota, so i'd have to agree voice chat would make this game 100x better.

I find myself not paying attention to this game a lot since there is no voice chat. I tend to play my own music and i end up playing a solo farming game for the first part of the game. Constant USEFUL team chatter keeps me engaged in the game, talking about rotations and movement (at least in Dota).

Coordinating lane swaps, objectives, jungle clears, chain stuns, and other traffic is made easier with voice as opposed to trying to type out instructions and reasons why u think the team should do a certain thing.

Anyone willing to argue that voice chat doesn't make the game better are idiots. What would be a valid argument is are teh pros worth the perceived cons. its personal taste at that point, but i believe yes.

You can mute everyone you don't want to listen to. People can be notified that you've muted them. Mute should be a opt in basis since the primary communication tool should be voice. As for reports, i'm a fan of giving ppl limited reports to combat frivolous reporting. Also, you need similar reports from different people in different games, it establishes a pattern and would do away with in depth analysis of bans etc.
