i feel like i would prefer more items instead of more champion reworks
i actually don't like champions reworks at all.
i mean i'm fine with mini reworks like the 2016 sona rework. the 2016 sona mini-rework simply just increased the size of her auto's, made it so reanking up her ult reduces the cooldown of her other abilities, and changed some numbers. i am fine with reworks like this.
i don't like big reworks like the ones that have been made to aetrox and akali.
some people mained aetrox and got to challenger with him, and the next thing you knew, he got reworked. i feel i really dislike this and it is causing me to feel less motivated to climb rank in league to be honest. because what happens if i put all that time and effort into learning a champion? it might get reworked. all that time and effort will feel wasted. and then what could happen if i choose to learn the reworked champion? it might get reworked again. or maybe even reverted.
i also don't like the fact that some champions are getting reworked in ways that are making them feel extremely unenjoyable to play against like akali for example. i believe some people on the boards are saying akali's ban rate is at 72% now.
i understand that akali was pretty much a hit or miss champion but i still feel i would have highly preferred her to not get reworked at all. although i didn't main her, i still enjoyed playing the previous akali sometimes. i feel that i would have preferred more items be created instead of reworking her completely, even if it means making a champion specific item for her.
i understand that some reworks have been good for some champions but i still overall feel that i don't want to see any more reworks. i don't like feeling that i could main a champion to master, and then lose my master elo because that champ for reworked. i feel like reworks have not been good for this game. i see many other people are starting to feel this way especially after the akali rework. many people feel that reworked champions are causing this game to feel very unenjoyable to play. i mean really who enjoys playing against akali right now? i feel riot has gone completely overboard with akali.
i also know someone who mains kayle. when i told him kayle is getting reworked he got very upset. we don't want our champions to get reworked. we would much rather see more items that would help them instead of straight up reworking them.
i would prefer to see new champions instead. even if the new champions are similar to some old champions. many people say Neeko seems similar to leblanc or even shaco. i would still prefer to see more of this rather than reworked champions.
i main jinx, and jinx is not exactly the type of champions you can 1 trick easily into challenger or even master. despite this though, i still feel i don't want her to get reworked. i like her just the way she is. i would prefer a new champion that is similar to jinx. some people even manage to his challenger while playing jinx, they just don't one trick her is all. she is playable with certain comps. i do not want jinx to get reworked simply just because she is difficult to one trick all the way to challenger with. i don't plan to get challenger but i still don't want her to get reworked simply just because it's hard to reach challenger with her. i would rather just learn another champion in addition to still playing her, rather than jinx getting reworked and becoming a champion that i don't enjoy playing at all.
is it really fair to take away someone's elo by reworking a champion instead of simply creating a new one even if the new one is similar to an old one?
was reworking aetrox really worth it? i don't feel this way. not one bit.
