Team rage on support/jungler

I understand you get angered at a loss but do you really believe the support or jungler is always to blame?

Yes, there's times when a jungler or support may have cost a team the match with certain foul plays. But not always, most occasions it's because the team has terrible communication and can't seem to fight together.

This is a team game after all, so you win or lose as a team. Don't be blaming the support because they didn't come help you when you should've fled when you had the chance, or the jungler that didn't gank on command when they are only lvl 2-ish and you don't have the bush warded.

Blame yourself and the team as a whole and find ways to improve yourself and how you can work with a team like that better.

I'm a jungle main. There's terribad junglers out there. But there are an equal number of terribad solo laners.

The difference is, the solo laners don't get blamed for being bad unless they're actually feeding, while a jungler will be blamed for being bad if they're not being good. That's a huge difference: a mid or top could passively farm, make no plays, run away from the enemy, etc. and not be blamed. A jungler doing the same will be reported for AFK and told to enjoy low priority queue.

People blame the jungler? That's new.

If sarcasm, hilarious.

If not, yes they do. I have heard countless ppl blame me because i didn't gank them when they wanted even though they have no wards and their lane is pushed or because i feel I'm not at the right lvl or build for a gank attempt.

My favorite is when the ADC goes 1/4/0 in the early part of the match, then their fed bot pair starts killing the crap out of you as the support, and u end up 0/5/3.

Then your team is like "STFU you suck, 0/5 feeding moron."

They refuse to understand that you were forced to try and support a brick in the ocean.

If you dare to ask "What was I supposed to do, take the ADC's ONE FUKING KILL so I can be 1/5 and they can be 0/4? IM THE SUPPORT, and I have nothing to support, of course my stats look like sht!" Then they report you because they dont have a comeback and have to face reality that its them that sucks. Making people face reality gets you reported.

On the jungler side, so many people dont know how to "receive" an allied gank. They just expect the jungler to come in, do 75% of the enemy health, then tank until they get the kill.... and they expect you do it WITHOUT farming your jungle, they expect you to be IN THEIR LANES BUSH 50% OF THE TIME. So do the other lanes. They dont want you to get farm, but they want you to do all the damage when you gank...

So big shock, delusional kiddies have no realistic expectations of other people, while being self absorbed whiners that blame others for their own failings.

So yes OP, saying that it ISNT always support/jungles fault is true, but dont try to make people face reality of their own failures in a game, its about as effective as telling someone their religion is wrong because of x, y, z reasons. They will always have a reason to keep believing.

I've had several occassions where i got blamed when it was our adc not last hitting or taking advantage of my setups, jungler not ganking at all (when he could easily get 2 kills or force their bot back enough for our adc to farm), or other lanes actually let them invade bot lane but yet it's my fault for not keeping them back. A tanky support like Taric/Leona/Braum/Blitz or a caster support like Lulu/Sona/Soraka/Karma can only do so much even in a 1v2 situation.

But i tend to ignore their comments and keep doing the best i can in the situation. (actually had a Tahm jg chase the enemy for a kill instead of taking on their jungler that came for me in bot. I was Syndra mid and went to help protect the tower. But yet it was my fault for feeding even though i had the same kills as Tahm and just 2-3 more deaths than him)

Victim complex, ding ding ding ding ding.

Not a victim complex. I find it annyoing even when the enemy team does that to theirs.

Still, people more easily blame the jungler/supp than the solo laners. As a jungler/supp, your job is to enable others, so if they don't manage, it's always your fault, if they manage, it's because they are good. Also, you don't take kills, you don't deal lotsa damage, so the solo laners brag, and even if deep down you know you did the hardest part of the job, people don't recognize it, and it doesn't show on the stat screen, and dumb people only believe the stat screen...

Call me victim complex if you want, but nowadays I main top, and I'm not magically better than before, but people don't blame me all the time. When I played Jungle, they did.

Blame goes both ways; being jungler or support doesn't automatically make you a saint. I've had a huge number of jungle and support fuckups in my games, and they have a bigger impact in the game and my entertainment than a wannabe Gosu or Faker. Because a shitty Vayne will feed and lose, but a fuckup jungler will tax my lane, push the wave to give free-farm to the enemy laner, donate buffs to enemies, snowball all 3 lanes and the jungler, will never do dragon, will always splitpush and the list goes on and on.

I've been playing League of Legends since the Nami patch, and I've seen far more threads bitching about people bitching at jungle/support than I've seen people actually bitch at jungle and support in-game. Ofcourse, I do agree people tend to look at scores far too much, but this is the mentality they bring from FPS games where K/D is actually more important than the objective or even is the objective itself, and it's a characteristic of younger players who've grown into this era of gaming.

People will blame all they want, ragers will rage, flamers will flame, it doesn't matter which role you are and what you're doing; if someone wants to bitch, they'll find a way and an excuse to do it.

The stat screen actually does show you how much work you've done: your assists are off the charts, you've healed a ton, you've shielded a ton, you've warded a ton, you've landed great CC, you've done nice combos. Being noticed is nice, but you don't play support/jungle to get noticed; as with every other role, you play to have fun and improve.

That's what pretty much all I have to say on the matter.

Actually, you mention something interesting. I thought there was some stats about the duration you CC'ed opponents, but I can't find it anymore. Where is it?

But yeah, people look at scores far too much, and they don't look that kind of stats. The warding stats is also very interesting, but who looks at it?

As for the original point: of course there are shitty jungler/support, like every other lane. But when the opponent team is simply better overall and no one is specifically to blame, a large fraction of people default to blame the jungle/support, because it's the easy way out: "support doesn't ward, jungle doesn't gank enough, we lose because of you". As I said, I played lots of supports in end of S4/beginning of S5, now I play mainly top, but I still play a bit of jungle/sup when I'm not among the first picks. I improved a bit with more experience, sure, but i'm not magically better, and I can compare the quantity of blame I received by lane. Maybe it's confirmation bias in action, but I really feel that the team blames me 3-4 times more when I'm jungle or sup.

I repeat: some jungle/sup deserves blame, and don't worry they receive it. But jungle/sup are blamed when the team is losing, whereas solo-laners are only blamed is they lost their lane.

Looked it up, unfortunately I can't find the CC stats :/

On the warding matter, I've noticed people at least here on the boards look at one's performance alot when it comes to gameplay discussions. I've been part of many discussions about the quality of matchmaking etc etc, and people tend to look how well someone performs as a measure of your argument's validity: if all you do is talk and you suck, they shut you down, If they see good performance, productive conversations can be had when they see your skills can catch up with your mouth, since you're not just full of shit.

Lastly, this kind of stuff become more important the higher your elo, when players get actually good, when your actions matter. Sometime, when you make decisions about your progress, you might get the need to check your performance or gauge the rest.

PS. Player feedback is always good no matter if you look at it or not. It's better to take it for granted, than look for it and not have it.

Never said that Supports and Junglers are never at fault. I mentioned that there were times they screw up.

But a majority of the time (especially in normal or low elo), the team just lacks the teamwork to effectively play against their opponents. Wether communication issues, bad timings as a whole, toxic attitudes toward one another...... It just adds up to the team as a whole being faulty.
