Riot and/or Meddler said several times that Aatrox was pretty high on the radar. Is he still on the radar or was he "ice boxed" in favor of the mage update or something else ?

Aatrox was my first main (god I loved when level 20's tower dived me with passive up) but I've been waiting for his rework or at least some love given to him for over a year now ;n;
He used to be really good in lane before they nerfed his ranged harass tool. I thought it wasn't so bad considering Trox had to eat a chunk of his own HP every time to use it. Back then, I considered Aatrox a Vladimir that actually took skill to play.
