The Sion and Urgot reworks - the shame of League of Legends

First things first, the new Sion looks ridiculous (http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-SkXWZrvy_zo/VCRpuOnbjuI/AAAAAAAAZi4/WPcZCYZPI5o/s1600/oldvnew.jpg) . The best and most tactful way to put it is that you have bad taste in art. Second it's not the same champion. This is not a rework, like Trundle you have completely changed the appearance and identity of the champion.

Same with Urgot ( https://www.unrankedsmurfs.com/storage/blogposts/league-legends-reworks-explained/urgot.jpg ). Again you have bad taste in art. Art can't be "updated", that is likely your problem right there..you don't understand art. Also why do the new ones only have armor on half their bodies? I can't speak for all cases of this in the game, but in these two examples they look imbecilic. It is as if you wished to make half of them menacing and the other half like a buffoon.

Looking at these two as objectively as I can, the new Sion and Urgot look like some of the weirdest changes I have seen in my life. I can analyze individual oddities, of which there are many, but the impression of the whole is generally inexplicable. The obvious fall back (and this may what may be what creates the whole impression) is that they only have armor on half of their bodies. You are doing this intentionally for some strange reason only you can fathom, and it seems (as we can imagine of someone that only wears armor on half his body) to look stupid. I don't claim to know much about this kind of art, and I'm not trying to create an argument out of technicalities...this "reworked art" is simply ugly and strange.

By the way... as Sion and Urgot were some of my favorite champions (won't touch them now with a ten foot pole), I will mention another champion that your secondary artists marred with their "updated artwork"--Lux. Her new splash art (and I made a post about this years ago) was criminally bad, and defamation of the lore and champion herself. You changed her metal pauldrons to silk streaming behind her, and made a woman in the military look like an air-headed bimbo.

Now about Sion and Urgot, the champions abilities are nothing like they were. What in the world were you thinking? Urgot was one of the most interesting champions you have ever made. His design was amazing. What was the range on his acid hunters? 1500? I loved this champion. I know little to nothing about this champion now. Hence the shame of League of Legends, a continual reminder of a fall from a better state. The new Sion again is nothing like Sion. Was your success with the original League of Legends a pure stroke of luck? Why doesn't your management put a check on this continual degeneracy? For those that don't know, the original Sion had something like 100% lifesteal on his ultimate, gained hit points when he killed minions, had a shield that exploded, could deal more damage at will (at the cost of life) and had a stun. He was an interesting champion. His disappearance from League along with Urgot will always be one of the greatest shames of this game. And I say this with full confidence that no one who truly loved Sion and Urgot would object to what I am saying... they are persona non gratas now...tokens of newbies to the game, or peasants whose taste is as bad as the engineers of these changes and the continual decline of the game.

its called a rework, not a visual update. making a post about how reworked champs are diffrent is like complaing to the city that the road they just repaved feels different to drive on

For Sion I did play his old version a lot. And to put it simply, it was bad. You point out all these things old Sion has but you do realize instead of 1 stun he now has two and knockups right before? He still gains max health when killing but now it doesn't cost him his own life and doesn't need to have an ability active. His shield scales with his hp and nukes based on hp of enemy(max %) and ap. He can weaken enemies now. Oh and he can still get that 100% lifesteal, but he has to die(but dam he is not fun to deal with when dead if you have no dashes or cc).

So everything old Sion did, new Sion does better. It feels like you lost what the meaning of a rework is meant to do.

Idk...when I tried Urgot's R for the very first time in a blind pick game it literally scared the crap out of me. And that was the day when I loved that rework and Urgot became my 2nd main.
