If you can mark a player red for being AFK?

Simple question....

If you can determine a player was afk, which obviously you can because they show as red and fucking level 1 normally at the end of a game..........then why can you adjust the fuckin amount of points the other four unlucky players lose?????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????? Or do you think its acceptable that they lose full points just because the asshole on their team decided to troll or afk?????????I would love the explanation, thanks

They think it balances out, because everyone wins and loses games with AFKs.

Two words: Ranked, Teams.

If you know you're going to lose, bam you have your friend leave so that the team loses less points.

Also, assuming you're not an AFKer yourself, that means your team has 4 potential AFkers and the enemy team has 5 potential AFKers - the odds are actually in your favor.

This has been explained to death.

Riot doesn't want give players more of a reason to be aggressive or passive aggressive towards a teammate who is doing bad, just to try and make them leave in a losing game in order to lose fewer lp. There are plenty of ways to grief a player into wanting to afk that don't involve chat spam, such as taking all the cs they go for and never helping them when the enemy team shows up. People WILL get creative about this if it becomes a way for them to climb faster by trying to force a teammate to afk anytime they are losing a match.
