After playing League of Legends since season 2, I have a few opinions I want to voice. Sorry about the long post.

1). Competitiveness: What is it? It’s gone.. there is no such thing as competition, whether it’s ranked or normals. There’s one team, and then there’s another, there’s a winner and a loser. In no way is it competitive. It solely depends on your teammates, are they good, bad.. trolls, afks.. you name it. All it does is it results in one team being angry at one another, and yes I’m guilty of this. That’s not competition. A competition is supposed to be sportsmanlike, this isn’t. At all. If you play league for a month, you know what I’m talking about.

2). Placements: when I started playing ranked, I had one goal in mind. Get to gold. I did, last season, after a long long journey, I finally made it. It was Christmas for me. But this season, I had a few bad placement matches and riot decided it was appropriate to put me in silver 5. One whole division dropped. Why? Isn’t riot the one preaching how some players may have a bad game? Yet they drop them entire divisions? Like.. what? After all that work? Imagine building a sand castle and have riot’s big foot just crush it… And on top of that, trolls, afks stop you from reaching that div again.

3). The you're wrong, I'm right mentality: When a teammate decides they wanna dive two enemy champions who are about half health and dies.. that's pretty noobish if you ask me. Well, when you calmly explain to them why they shouldn't do that, they instantly get defensive with that "shut up bro, I know what I'm doing." No you obviously don't know.

4). "Toxic" behavior: Going back to the previous point, it is almost a natural reaction to get angry with someone who makes such a blatant mistake then tries to defend it. Then the person getting mad is accused of toxicity and get reported. Like.. what?! How can you NOT get mad? It's impossible. You can get reported for being "toxic" because you hurt someone's feelings but you can't report that Yi who dives people thinking he's a god for basically trolling.

I was kinda hesitant posting this on here.. because I know how people here are.

"Oh, well, maybe you should look at how you play! You're probably bad! Silver.."

Not the point, if I'm doing bad I'm brave enough to admit it, I don't care. But the system is so broken, it punishes the people who get justifiably mad because that's "toxic".. I mean sorry I hurt your feelings?

Anyways, if you're new and you're playing it, stay away from it. It is not fun at all.. It only breeds anger and frustration. That's my two bits on this game. And if I hadn't already poured god knows how much money and effort and time into it, I would probably instantly quit. But.. I kinda feel obligated to play now. summoner 4

Strange, this guy (geranimo) is doing a level 1 to challenger in 30 days stream, he went 27-3 in his first 30 games and got to diamond mmr. Seems like he is able to carry his team mates. Doesn't seem like his team mates are causing him to lose too many games. Sounds like you just aren't good enough to carry games at your mmr.

I know the feeling. I was gold the season before and got placed silver 4 due to my placements. Didn't have the motivation to try to climb out of it before the season ended and I'm sitting on Silver 2. I'm not impressed with their system, but I still enjoy the new changes of the game. I like to think that practice makes perfect but when they are constantly changing everything and adding in new items that cause people to exploit broken combinations and also adding in champions that completely reverse the idea of counterplay or outplay I can't say I'm impressed and supportive.
