you can tell what happens next right? get outplayed by an ekko maokai dive every few minutes and there is nothing my jungler and i can do. but i guess thats top lane for you.

Except those that face one and know it to be untrue. He's still as bad as he was but now he has higher AP so gets more damage while still being tanky. Good job Riot!
I don't see why they avoid the obvious fix of giving him negative ratios for armour and magic resistance and make the ratios worse if he has AP above 100. That would force Ekko players to pick tank or damage, not both. Riot's current attempts are to persuade people to stop building tank Ekko with higher AP ratios when that isn't going to work.

Add it to his passive, hah. is armor is higher than AP, base damage is reduced. If AP is higher then armor, scaling is increased.

BluePolarizer1 votesI just don't see what's the problem with tank Ekko. I've played vs. them and with them in medium-high elo. They aren't invincible. Shit, I had one of mine feed Darius 10+ kills.
The key is to not pick a top laner before them, so you can pick their counter. If you are forced to pick before Ekko, then pick a super generic safe top laner like Irelia or Maokai.
