Lets talk AP Tristana..

Alrighty fellas. I'm curious, is ap tristana still relatively viable? I've played a couple of games with her and so far it seems extremely difficult if not impossible to get good damage off in a timely fashion anymore, ya gotta wait for that "e" to go off (She is a great pusher tho). The nerfs on both her her ap scaling, health in lane, and range scaling all seem to me like riot is just trying to kill ap Trist, considering that now, almost any assassin can do it better than her. But hey I might just be bad, ya know? Just wondering what you guys think.

Basically, AP Trist is much more risky. You've got to toss E, land 4 attacks, then land on them with W for maximum burst (throw in an R upon landing if you so desire).

The overall burst potential is a little bit lower than old AP Trist, and Explosive Charge is now Physical damage. Which, unfortunately, mitigates the one strong point AP Tristana had; her early game is weaker than pre-patch.

I could see someone building a bit more hybrid on Tristana with the changes, but straight AP looks kinda weak to me.

With her ult being a 1 ap ratio now AND dfg is gone, its too risky to play AP trist. If you W into a fight, you are not guaranteed a kill anymore to leap away. I'd say she is pretty dead for AP now. If they didn't nerf her ult from 1.4 ap ratio then I would say it would still work, but that .4 missing is a good chunk of AP when you are max items.
