New Kassadin isn't that bad

Lets be honest here, if he's still capable of finding a good opportunity to insta-gib a carry and be tanky enough to get out before he gets wrecked, whats wrong with him? I mean sure, the nerf on his ult range may have been a little much but on the pbe recently I've seen him perform well and even got carried by one once. I'm just not to sure what everyone is up in arms about. Trust me when I first heard of the nerfs I didn't like it either but after playing him and with other Kassadin's, I can say pretty confidently that his overall power level remains unchanged. Now he just sorta feels like "shotgun Kassadin". I'm def up for discussion about it tho, as long as this doesn't become a whine thread.

That's the issue. Insta-gibbing and tanky enough to get out aren't two things that go hand in hand. A RoA doesn't make him tanky enough to do that. Currently his r is so short ranged that he really can't get away besides over walls and away from very immobile champions. With this, they shouldn't make his R's stacks double each cast. He'll run out of mana before he can get far at all. People complain how he has a "3 second flash" but that's at level 16. At level 6, it's much longer and the fact that he has an ult that lets him move 450 units every 7 or so seconds makes me question why I should play Kassadin when I could play Nidalee.

I don't like the new Kassadin, because he has no way to actually stick to his targets anymore. His insane range on his ultimate was supposed to help him out with that, because he had barley any cc to stick to an target (his e needs to charge before he can actually cast it) Making him already horrible as an assasin. His Q silence was supposed to help him to stick to his targets, so they won't actually use their mobility spells, while his E is on cooldown, yet after the silence remove, he's only there with his ultimate and his e. Now after the other nerf, he's not anymore an treat for anyone, he's barley ranged, has almost no mobility, and his ultimate feels not more like an ultimate.

Riot seems to not see that there are champions with higher mobility with lower costs. Look at Leblanc as example. She has to pay at max rank about 100 mana, and she can travel 1200 units with it (dash + blink) and just add the ultimate distortion too, making about 2400 units. She is an problem champion, I main her and she feels incredibly unfair after mastering her with the silence remove, yet there can't be a delay before leblanc can blink back to her original position, otherwise leblancs only way to trigger her sigil in lane would be removed.

Yet I'm wondering; Why is Leblancs mobility not seen as problem while Kassadins is? He has to pay more mana than Leblanc has to and this is where Riot begins to contradict themselfs. If Leblanc is allowed to be mobile, Kassadin has to be too.
