Bot levels

Could there be a bot level that has the skill of doom bots but without all the added abilities and effects in doom bots. I believe that this will allow players to get better experience and knowledge about new champs while having some sort of real pvp combat.

I think Riot gets worried that people would stop playing PVP if there were harder bots. I know I spammed 2v5 customs with a friend of mine up until we won with Taric and Bard...

I do wish Hard bots were a thing though. Also wish they would unlock every champ in customs for use (Like Teemo).

if they are worried then they don't know their game, because this game is only geared towards pvp. Adding something to help players get better strengthens your connection with the average player base. They could always add something fro them like they have for the bots now, where only 2 hour 30 min game play grants you ip.

I mean I played 2v5 customs and got no IP, so I'm not sure about that. That said, I'm not 100% certain that is the reason why they don't implement Hard bots, it was just my guess.

I certainly could imagine them considering Hard bots when they add in the sandbox mode. I mean I agree with you that there should be Intro, Beginner, Intermediate, and Hard bots. Each should be geared towards helping new players to learn the game and should eventually make players able to play PVP without feeling terrible about themselves. I mean, they don't even INTRODUCE jungling in bot games. Not once are new players exposed to vision control, jungling, counter jungling, dragon/baron contests, etc... All of this is thrust upon them when they enter normals, yet people flame when someone wants to go duo top.

from a coding stand point there are too many variables to program into the game so it can run smoothly and fluidly. Also how do you program a gank (when, where, and how). as for new players yes there is little to mo game knowledge thrust upon them, its just do this and that and you can win a game.

I mean, even if they do bad ganks it could be better than nothing. Bots currently do roam and gank to SOME extent (mostly when grouping) and chase through the jungle. Simple parameters such as minion density, champion positions, and perhaps health of towers and champions could all help a 'jungle bot' determine when and where to gank. I know it would be tough but even a shitty jungler would help new players understand the role I think. And the need to ward.
