Okay, seriously now... Those player bots in Coop vs AI games are starting to get annoying.

I don't have much time on my hands lately, so more often than not I will not gamble with my first win of the day and just run through a quick coop for it. For a couple of weeks now though, there have been player bots in every single damn game... more bots than actual human players. I can only guess that they are being leveled up by bots to level 30, then afterwards sold to players who need some spare accounts since their mains got banned for one reason or the other... which by itself is bad enough as it is... but why is there so many of these lately? In every coop I start there are at least 3 of them: Ghost+Heal, boots first, seldomly a ruby or sapphire crystal, no pots ... strange map movement, autohitting, diving turrets for no reason, running away from turrets that are being pushed by a team mate with no enemy around only to come back after a couple seconds... I've seen enough of them to spot them right away by now.

Don't go telling me that these are inexperienced players. They ALL have the same kind of movement to them. Forth, back, forth again, switch lanes after being killed or barely escaping. every single one in the exact same way. I know an AI when I see one.... just that this one, while definately being artificial, is far from being intelligent...

Also please, I've heard about the tinfoil hat theory about these being Riot accounts... That doesn't make any sense. If it was to fill lobbies quicker, they would just add their regular bots. And why come up with a new and terribly crappy AI if they have a pretty good one already? Besides, whenever there are some of these bots on my side of the game, the load screen takes FOREVER, so I can only assume, that those bots are being thrown at us from Papua New Guinea or god knows where (no offense people rom PNG, love you). Again it makes no sense for Riot to slow down their own game.

BUT ... seriously now... this has been going on for far too long. I would like to see some changes here and soon.

Well TT did do a good job of keeping most of them isolated there, then Riot removed the game mode.

I hate when I see a new player in coop vs al. They just don't know what they are doing and they get bots with them and they cannot be helped. I remember when I started league and played coop vs al. There were players trying to help me understand the game, hell some just added me to teach me how to play. Now I see no new player at all, just bots....

They aren’t calling out trolls inters and afks so riot doesn’t care about them.

get used to it. quote me on this in 2-3 years, but coop vs ai will be removed

the reason there are so many bots is due to how many people smurf in this game.

damn downvoted for saying the truth. I guess smurfing isn't an issue despite the even silvers saying "I have 7 accounts".

Banning in waves. But I still see bot accounts actually change hands to smurfs who buy them and abuse ranked. Then you get people come running over here on how they had a gold in diamond. Or silver in platinum etc. About the horrible match making! The entire situation is a clown fiesta if you ask me.

First, if they removed Dominion because of the bots then they should have been able to understand by example. When the bots switched to TT from Dominion, that the same thing would likely happen to SR and ARAM. In which case, there was no adequate preparation here. Simply removed TT without having any plan for countering these bot accounts. You know, TT had so many bots for almost the entire time I had been playing it. I find it a bit surprising that Riot was ignorant of this, considering how many bot accounts were constantly leveled there. And if they weren't then why did they not find a way counter this onslaught of bot accounts before removing TT for good?

This had a direct and in some cases, an indirect impact over the players. Like some guy got suspended for 2 weeks because he thought that one of the new players playing in an ARAM was a bot. Called them a bot and ended up suspended for it. Then there are the 'bots in my team' threads regularly cropping up. We only see a portion of those dissatisfied with it come complain here. I'm sure that there must be a lot more people annoyed because of this. That said. In all honesty, although I dislike bot accounts myself. It isn't hard to finish the match by myself. But its probably hell mode for those new players.

Riot always states, that they ban the bots in "waves". Wait for it. Look out! Gonna be a huuuge wave! https://hips.hearstapps.com/pop.h-cdn.co/assets/17/12/1024x576/hd-aspect-1490277458-nazare.jpg (If you look close, you can see a bot on the wave.)

At least they're fixing it, after over 1 month since they deleted TT and after years of bots populating it.

Oooh wait, no, they've done nothing. Guess that the fact that bots are the backbone of the account selling market is just a coincidence, there's no business beyond it.

It gets even more hilarious when they have scripts they precisely mimic your cursor movements so you effectively always have a unit stuck inside you for the whole game.

But hey, scripting is dead, right Riot?

try 1v5 vs bots its pretty much the same thing when there are player bots since the bots cant get fed they generate items at X time.

I just had another one of these 1v9 games... gosh darn, riot... why is this a thing, STILL!

Honestly I don't care that bots have permeated co-op vs AI. I never touch the mode and probably never will. If the only reason you play that mode is for the easy first win, which you'll get anyways, I don't see how it matters to you either. It's not like co-op vs ai was particularly enjoyable in the first place. Low prio problem imo.

Agent Muffin12/30/2019, 4:00:45 AM1 votes

Exactly. I usually play with 4 other feeding bots that the average beginner coop vs ai game would take 20+ minutes to finish.

Wen29412/30/2019, 8:55:09 AM1 votes

coop has no MMR afaik, this means that even an experienced player can be saddled with bots (unlike modes like ARAM and TT). Since TT got removed more bots migrated to coop, but because there's no MMR there you will feel this change FAR more than you ever did on TT.

They're still quite winnable. but you'll have to pick the right champs. (also TP is OP if i remember correctly) Been ages since i last played coop but i remember there always were a fair share of bots so picking a champ that can solo-win just in case was always a good idea.

I was thinking about this for a while and I think some people will be upset. I don't think players should level up past 25 by playing Against AI. This would make players gain experience and practice playing Normals before Ranked.

Not passing level 15, by playing Intro AI. Not passing level 20, by playing beginner AI. Would it solve the problem?

KI don't have an answer for this, but I can tell you this perosn tells the truth. I helped a friend learn the game agaisnt bots, and many games had bots in our team. The problem was always reduced 3v3 before the removal of Twisted Treeline ( 3v3) map

Cause the problem existed way before, especially with the refer a friend system, the player base has never been as big as riot ever said. Probably view botting their own system before they sold it to big corps.

Sałem12/31/2019, 3:31:09 AM1 votes

TBH I'm not surprised that you encounter bots as co-op mode since the season starts soon and boosters and account sellers want to get money ... they will do it, the accounts will get banned after few months but not instantly what is even worse

Æthernal12/31/2019, 8:02:14 PM1 votes

Coop Vs. AI Intermediate should be lvl 30+...

KnightLakega1/1/2020, 12:50:53 PM1 votes

good idea, but riot doesn't care what you want.. Nor will they ever..
