What to do about matchmaking with friends?

I have a real dilemma. I love League of Legends. I've gotten my wife and two friends playing with me and we have had a lot of fun together. But now, due to matchmaking they aren't interested in playing League anymore.

I am only ranked Bronze 3 and my friends aren't even level 30 but when we queue together we almost always get matched with an opposing team that has, at minimum, 1 gold player and several silver players.

We lose 9 out of 10 matches when we queue together because most of the individual players we go against have more wins under their belts' than my entire team combined.

I understand that Riot boosts our team's MMR because we are queued together. But, the amount it is boosted is just sully. The players we go against are so much better than us mechanically during the laning phase that no amount of strategy and coordination through voice chat during mid to late game will enable us to come back.

My friends are all sick of losing a bunch and are going to quit playing. What should I do?

We kinda ran into this problem with some of my guildmates from another video game, but what we did was play a bunch of ARAMs so that we could all kinda learn to play different champions and at least get familiar with them and with teamfighting. Then we transitioned to Summoner's Rift, which is actually still a work in progress (especially in terms of strategy/mechanics), but at the very least, everyone knows their capabilities/strengths with certain champions.
