I am done with the Malazhar crap

I don't typically like bad mouthing Riot or game designers as it is their job, not mine, to know how to balance a game and make it fun. Which is fine typically. but Meddler on Malzahar. > {quoted} > > We've got some Malz stuff in 7.3 (probably) as well. Current things in testing: > > * Voidlings spawn after a short delay, rather than instantly. > * Voidlings gradually slow down based off distance from Malz (no slow until more than 600 units away).

Come on! This is just a straight nerf to Malazhar and while it does help take care of some of the issues with support Malzahar it hurts Midlane Malzahar even more. Malzahar is supposed to be a lane bully, with strong pushing ablities and be an anti-assassin mage. How can Malzahar turn on an assassin when the major source of his damage now, wont even do anything for most of Malz's counter-engage.

I'm not gonna lie, Voidlings are why support Malzahar is so strong. They deal so much damage and support Malzahar can just save them to sick on the enemy bot lane who end up with little choice but to run away. However, their are better ways to fix the issue.

The best would be to just give us back old Malzahar before the rework. Back when he was basically my go to midlaner because he actually pushed early on and bullied people in lane. Back when you could tell if Malzahar had any skin that wasn't Snowday Malz, because he didn't have that giant banshee's veil surrounding him. But that's not going to happen. Otherwise Mordekaiser would have been reverted long ago.

They could still potentially revert the 6.23 changes where they made the issue in the first place. That version of Malzahar wasn't too bad. Once I got used to it was fun. Just change the minion damage taken from epic monsters or something so they are so effective at taking it since that was a problem Riot had. It would also allow Malzahar to actually clear minion waves again. And to be somewhat of a bully in lane because his voidlings wont die while trying to kill the first minion.

But to really balance Malzahar just take some of the power out of the Voidlings. Put it back into his E or Q to allow his to do things with out the Voidlings.

Sorry this was ranty but I would just like Malzahar to be a midlane bully, that is the anti-assassin again. These changes aren't going to help Malz, they just gonna make him feel worse to play mid.

The Malz rework was a joke, it's really hard to understand how Riot can be so hard headed when they put out such an objectively terrible rework.

I don't really understand it myself. Anymore I just don't want Riot to rework the champs that I enjoy playing as they always come out worse for wear. I enjoyed old Shen, one of my most played champs and my go to toplaner. All the things that I enjoyed about old Shen are gone now and I don't touch the champ. I was kinda starting to enjoy Malzahar after his rework and then he got reworked again! I don't enjoy this version at all as it laks everything that made Malzahar fun to me and so I don't play Malzahar anymore.

What I've found to combat Malzahar support is taking Illaoi support.

Angers the event team so much. :3

Soon, I will take Fiora support... Time to combat the off-meta picks with off-meta. Fight fire with fire.

From what I have seen and played of Malz supp, Taric is good into him. You have an AOE stun to shut down the minions which are his primary damage. Your ult counters his ult if your ADC ulted. And you can stun the Malz while he is suppressed. Not to mention that Taric outscales Malz supp.

If it wasn't Meddler I would be more worried about mid lane Malzahar, I am optimistic he isn't just going to push a straight line nerf through. I am hoping for some extra damage on e to compensate his laning a bit more.

I HATE the new Malzahar changes... he's simultaneously less fun to play into and less fun to play as. He's so binary now that there's like one or two scenarios where he can do anything creative. Now he's nothing but a w>w>flash>r bot. When you play as him, you just pray to get a good e>w>q combo (if they're stupid) and when you play against him, you play completely around his voidling cooldowns and his passive, when he has them up you just never engage on him and if he wastes them you can punish the shit out of him for free. There is nothing interesting or exciting you can do against him, as him, anything. He's so frustrating to play against, and I swear the targeting on the voidlings is still shit.

They could fix tons of this if they'd just take damage off his stupid voidlings, which suck anyway, and put it on e or q, and let them be directable with auto attacks again! Oh, and let them not all immediately die upon Malzahar's death.

Or just revert this miserable, anti-fun rework. The champion that used to be all about macro mechanics, decision making and fast combos is now just a stun bot at worst or an unavoidable death-machine when he's powerful. He takes very little skill and is easily outplayed by '#outplayed' champions that he USED to be good into. Wanna zone with w? Well, you can't. Wanna punish an engage with e? Well, now you can't waveclear! Wanna lane? Too bad! Play 'herd the voidlings' with the enemy mid laner instead!

Remember those little flash games where you could poke sheep, pigs or cows around into a pen? Yeah, that's pretty much what playing as, and against, Malzahar feels like now.
