So I've been playing League for quite some time now, and I will admit when I finished my 10 ranked games, i got put in B2... I then was very quickly shoved to B3 due to me trying to hard. I didn't get that i was supposed to treat it like a regular game, after time i eventually practiced a lot, and have grown greatly in skill, and I've been told by many of my fellow summoners that it shows. But sadly, I got myself stuck in a hole i cannot' get out of. After I have become a well rounded League player, with knowledge on each role and champions abilities, giving me the capabilities of assessing situations and dealing with my enemies, I have come into a serious problem. I am now stuck in B5 because of the amount of trolls, and AFK's I end up getting on my team. I know it may be a lot to ask, but i believe that solo ranked, should give you ELO and all depending on how well you yourself did, not if you won or not. Reasoning: You can be an outstanding LoL player, yet be stuck on teams of people that don't take it seriously, and be pushed to B5 like me (and it is extremely annoying) let me tell you, I hate it so much how i can be sooo close to getting out of Bronze V yet, me ELO drops because my team decided to throw the game.

How does one measure how well you did? KD ratio? No, that won't work for supports and tanks. Besides, if you go that route people will play to only get kills and not die rather than playing to win. There is literally no way to do what you are asking.

They can't really have ELO based off of individual "skill" as there is no truly fair in game metric for it. If its based off of kills then everyone will want to play roaming mid laners like fizz. If you lose points for having more deaths then supports or tanks will be screwed. If its based off cs then you get people who will afk farm. Basing elo off of wins makes the most sense. Sure it may be inaccurate in a given 10 20 even 30 game spread, but eventually it will reach its right value. Think about it in terms of dice. You roll a 6 sided die and have to get 4 or higher to win. That is a 50/50 shot right off the back. This is how it is like when you are at the right elo. If you are better or worse than your elo then that would be like your die being weighted to roll higher/lower respectively. So while the rolled dice may be low or high for a while, eventually they will show an average distribution.
