A real way to stop high-level accounts in low-level games

This isn't a rage post so please read it before anything.

On a low level smurf of mine I recently played a match as Xerath mid against a Cass. (I woulda posted it using that account but it won't let me) It didn't go great so I figured my opponent was also a smurf. Turns out I was wrong. They were actually level 30 with 770 wins. It was a fairly interesting match for me even if we lost but that is because i have another account and am not so worried about losing these matches. But for some of my allies it probably wasn't so fun.

I understand that the client tries to even out player skills using games and lvl info so teams are somewhat balanced. And the opposing team had a trio-queue of sub-10 accounts which probably indicated that they needed a higher skill player as well. But I would bet there was an account in queue that was closer to our levels. I would suggest that there be a cap on the level differences between accounts unless you are queued (so friends can still play together). Something like if the highest opponent is level 15 and we are being given a higher level player it could be capped at level 25. (a 10 level difference) Because full runes and masteries against level 12 players is a tough match.

I believe riot has a system implemented to detect smurfs and throw them in with upper level players in order to stop people from smurfing to play against noobs. I would much rather match the smurfs with upper level players than subject actual noobs to them.

I suppose I see what you are saying, and in truth there was another smurf on my team and one of their trio was as well. Maybe this is only a problem because of the smurf accounts in the game. I guess I just assumed this could happen to a team of similar level accounts that weren't smurf and then it would be extra awful for them to go against such an experienced player. Perhaps this isn't common for new players though.
