alternative change for twisted fates W

so i have an idea how we could change TwistedFate. His W is frustrating in late game specially with the point and click stun so i though maybe a change on it would be better? my thoughts were that his W should be a skill shot but the projectile will be faster. Blue card will give him mana but an additional mana if he hits a basic attack on the target enemy champion afterwards within a couple of seconds. His red card will slow enemies but also make his next basic attack deal bonus dmg within a couple of seconds to all slowed enemies affected by the red card. and His gold card will stun the target and give a small movement speed boost to tf, which could be a good escape ability or gap closer. Any thoughts if this sounds good or just complete broken and bad?

I really do not see any sort of issue with keeping Twisted Fate's W the way it is, his kit would be very bland if the only basic abilities he had were both skill-shots. It may work with some other champions, but for Twisted Fate I feel as though he is fine the way it is.

Just because you do not like playing against a champion with an ability you deem overpowered, doesn't mean that the champion should be changed.

Meh.

Seems fair I guess.

I don't really know much about Twisted Fate since I never play him but I guess this is okay.

just an add up: His blue card will deal less dmg and be used more for mana sustain but he must use it carefully since he can get out traded hard by it. His red card will deal same dmg but more in total which is good for trading and farming with the aoe slow and dmg. His Yellow card will deal same dmg and will be used more of a gap closer or as an escape ability.

I read all the proposal and made a conclusion: I don't think any of the changes are necessary.

TwistedFate's kit may be basic but don't let any of their simplicity fool you. He can be outclassed by every other mages if played poorly. His Q can be dodged and is mainly used to push lanes. As for his W and with your proposal, I understand the frustration of his W being a potentially point and click stun with no counterplay but there are a few things you've got to consider:

  1. His initial card pick of his W is random. The order afterwards is pretty much the game. B*->R->G->B->R->G->etc. The RNG on the asterisk has a 33% chance of getting the right card and if you don't have enough reflexes to immediately snap the right card that you want from picking the card initially, it could be a life or death situation from him. Such in that sense, I think he should keep his pt and click stun as it impacts his decision making from the three.

  2. His W is a projectile so if you are a filthy Yasuo main, wind wall it on time. His W duration after he picked a card doesn't last long anyway so it is advised to stay away from him. It's pretty easy to escape from TF anyway since he doesn't have much gap closers other than summoner 4.

  3. TF has been a champion with Auto-Attack enhancements and adding this change would strip that away from him. His blue card is perhaps the most fittingly does the most damage as it is the most filler while gold card is the least but with CC.

There isn't really frustrating about TF with his W usage because yes, it can be annoying if the TF uses the W correctly all the time. But like I said, TF players have 33% chance to initially get the right card and screw themselves over for missing out. There are a lot more things to be frustrated over than a TF who has perhaps one of the most high skill capped in midlane who teaches mid laners the most simple ways to roam the lane.

So TL;DR: I don't think the changes are needed.
