Can we rework nunu's ult?

Cause in this jumpie hard cc meta, as it is, its nearly impossible to use even to a tenth of its power. Its outdated. Even more as jungBunu.

Use it like a kat ult, wait til the enemy uses their cc on other people then walk right in and press R. It's also a massive aoe attack speed slow, not all about the damages.

Nunu's R is amazing: even full tank can deal almost 1,000 damage in a large area, plus a powerful movement speed + attack speed slow over the duration. And if they want to interrupt it, they have to waste some CC on your tank, leaving your assassin/carry with more options to survive. The fact that it is too vulnerable to CC is why that R is balanced.

A 10th of it's power is still a shit ton of power though.

And it's not that hard to use his ult well. Concentrate on using it for the 1300x1300 unavoidable 50% slow. If you utilize it for the massive CC disruption aspect, you'll still get a lot of use out of it even if it's interrupted and does negligible damage.

More often than not I've found catching enemies in a way where the slow is incredibly disruptive tends to reliably lead to 2~3 man 1k+ damage blasts though, because their concern is GTFO rather than lol stun, as I'm forcing them to decide between running away and maybe not getting collapsed on, or stunning me and 100% getting collapsed on by my team.

As tank/support Nunu, eating CC/damage that could have easily been directed at your allies is also pretty useful, and applying a 5-man 50% MS slow can be pretty game-changing in a team-fight. Both of which are well-served by focusing on using the skill for the 50% slow, as optimal usage their requires your team to be there to capitalize on it.

Even as a tank you're also not forced to initiate with Absolute Zero, you can utilize it for a counter-initiation or fallow up a fellow team-mate's innitiation with it. Unlike Kat, you can also waddle around in the middle of a team-fight and punch a few things without needing to cast it ASAP, seeing as Nunu is usually tanky enough to survive some focus, where Kat's defense is basically kill things before they can hurt her.

Use Absolute Zero for the damage and you'll usually derp-out by wasting the skill on one low-HP guy 650 range from you. Considering the skill has a massive AoE and 50% slow attached, that's kind of like building AP Caitlyn for more net damage at the expense of the rest of her kit. As a 3-second charge-up skill, optimal usage just falls much more in the realm of strategy than tactics, focusing more on foresight and reason than reflexes and reaction.

Aww man! I was just talking about this to someone yesterday! Nunu is a boss ass jungler, but damn his ulti can jsut be interrupted anymore so easily.

There is typically 2 or 3 champs on the enemy team atleast who can interrupt your ulti the moment it starts up, and you cant just wait for them to waste them. Your team could be wiped by then and half the time the enemy team isnt dumb enough to waste all there interruptions because they wait for nunu.

Banshees doesnt do much for it either.

You use it to force CC or to prevent running.
