I think it is currently a very hot topic in most of the games, on streams, on youtube. What do you guys think? Are marksmen out of meta, and if they are, why?

I would actually love to see a shift in the Meta. Im so tired of the "We need this here and that there blah blah" BS. Personally i think it would be cool to see the Meta shift to something new like.
Top: Mage + Bruiser. Jungle: generic jungler Mid: ranged champ Bot: Tank or Assassin.
No support but the late game comp can be so strong and interesting.
Personally I think if the adc's cannot do much until they get 3-4 items, unless they get snowballed. Top laners are too tanky for them, mid laners can usually one-shot them (classic syndra), and both of these laners have higher xp most of the time.
On the other hand, there's a support helping adc's out, so defining a proper balance in their case is not that easy.
No, that phrase is said almost entirely by retarded trash ADC players who blame ADC role for them being out of position and having no map awareness.
wish more adcs would buy this tbh. yeah the passives aren't that great for an adc, but its the team utility they should really focus on more. adcs are used to being the teams mobile turret... while everyone else just got more and more divey, adcs didnt change it up at all.
they've become so weak because of the mage main screeching that it's simply easier and better to just play a mage because you have damage and CC along with a support who also has CC or offers some kind of damage or shielding etc
but let mid lane syndra players who think the nerfs are totally unwarranted keep calling the shots on how we balance other roles.
ADCs aren't weak at all. The reasons they seem weak are because League created a culture where nobody picks any tanky peelers anymore. Everyone wants to play assassins. So if you don't peel for your ADC, they suck. Always have. An ADC shouldn't be able to 1v1 a Kha. That's how League works lol. Also, people feed more now than before, as a whole. An ADC shouldn't be able to 1v1 an assassin mage. Never has. But now people seem to be stupid and if they die 1 time in lane they just keep rushing over and over again feeding their ass off.
Tl;dr: Fed enemies and 0 peel team comps make ADCs look weak. They actually aren't.
they are clearly not out of meta, nor have they ever been since... i dont know. about season 1? its just a dumb meme.
a couple of month back, they were not in the position to carry for the most part because the pressure on bot lane was extremely high, which denied them their power spikes. though they were still being played regularly, and carried on occation.
a lot has changed since then, and while bot lane is still being pressured, theyre carrying games regularly right now.
this "adc in 2k17" shit is usually spammed whenever someone misplays and is looking for an excuse.
