Honestly, I love tiger stance. I find the ganks are better and I can blow up anyone in a 1v1 and in genral, I feel so much more comftorble with tiger stance. What really troubles me is that everyone I watch uses pheonix stance. (Trick2g) so I went ahead and tried it out, and I didn't like the playstyle of it, why is it so much better then tiger stance though? Thanks for all your thoughts and opinions on this issue!
It increases your clear speed in the Jungle a lot! Every 3 attacks deals damage equal to a moderate spell in an area of effect along with the fire hula hoop. Tiger Stance is good for burst damage and physical sustained damage. Pheonix is AoE sustained damage however. You use all of the stances as Udyr though so there is no real best stance.
people like phoenix because it makes waveclear for split pushing a lot easier. udyr has trouble in teamfights and he excels in splitting.
tiger is probably better for teamfights but in most fights udyr gets kited out by the target he wants to stick to and he's better off just stun botting in bear stance for the majority of the fight.
I think its mostly preference. Phoenix helps with clear and split pushing but tiger has a lot of damage that sneaks up on people so they usually get killed before they know it. However phoenix can be a little more bursty. If you gank and get stun Phoenix off sometimes thats all you need to do. I prefer phoenix but I understand how much better tiger is at dueling etc.
Mainly, what matters most is how you like to play him if you are effective with tiger do tiger.
tiger stance fuckes people up levels 1-18 top lane
