Hidden Opponent Stats Made Visible

So, I'm sure this has been posted a lot, but why can't we see the opponent's lifesteal & Armor/Magic Penetration, etc? Wouldn't it be better for players to be able to see this so they can possibly attempt to itemize against their opponents or something?
