Riot.. What do you want from me???

Hi everyone, this is my first board post in a hella long time, but something really needs to be said. Riot literally what the fuck is your new ranked matchmaking system?? I placed plat 1 in mid (my main role) and have since been in 3 (4?) series into diamond. Non series games have all been pretty evenly balanced with people between diamond 2 and plat 1, but then every single series game has had between 2 and 8 grandmaster/master tier players in it and the rest diamond 1/2. Why? Why does this happen? For what reason has Riot decided to implement a literal blockade in my main's promos to DIAMOND 4??? It's so annoying. I don't even lose my lane to them. It's not even my fault we lose the games. It's my idiot bot lane usually that ints the grandmaster adc, and since adcs are strong again, they just afk carry. For context, I've already gotten diamond on jungle, support, and top. It's just mid that Riot keeps throwing me into games with the highest ranked people on the server for absolutely no reason.
And yes while it is validating to know I can lane against and match pressure with these players, it's not something I really want to HAVE to do while climbing out of platinum. I would much rather do it later when I can feel good about my rank being somewhat close to theirs rather than be 4 or 5 tiers below them having to carry against them just to get to 3 or 4 tiers below them. In conclusion this ranked season so far has been the most asinine redundant attempt at a climb I've every experienced. I haven't tried Apex quite yet, but it's sounding better and better after all the shit I have to put up with in ranked on League.
