Is it possible to climb out of silver?

So basically I can not climb out of silver. I play Miss Fortune and Pantheon pretty much all the time. When I play MF, sometimes I will get a good support, and those are the games my KDA is positive and high. But then I get some games with a Morgana who only used her Q once that game and actually landed it, and thats where my KDA goes negative. Those are the games I lose. As pantheon top, most of the time I have an extremely high KDA, but my mid and botlane feed, and then they AFK because they are losing so bad - pretty much freelo. I can't seem to find one game where either our team comp. is trash, or I can't help carry the team.

Any thoughts? Would love some recommendations.

Thanks

It is far from impossible to climb out of silver. This season and last season I had to climb from mid bronze to gold. I only went as far as gold 5 cause I just want the end of season rewards. But I really just spammed one champion, and that was shen top. It took awhile but I did it. I don't consider myself very good at the game, maybe average but just find a couple champs in a couple roles and spam them. And as its been said before, if you are good enough to get out of silver then you will.

You can climb out playing MissFortune. I've done it, she is my most played ranked ADC.

Laning Tactics/Mechanics are a big part of it but its not the most important thing.

The most important thing is actually to safely push minions and push/destroy towers at all times. A big part of who wins Silver games is which team safely attacks the minions and the towers more without dying. It sounds like common sense but you'd be surprised at how many free waves are missed and how players don't push the map/press towers when they should be.

After laning, look at the map and constantly ask... "Can I safely attack these free minions? Can I safely attack this tower?" And always DEFEND your towers.

You can climb on any champion with enough wave clear if you just move around the map doing this. Its like a game of hide and seek where you safely kill minions (and get tons of gold and EXP) and destroy towers where you run as soon as 2+ enemies go missing on minimap and you sense they are close. You will get a 6th sense from this as you watch the minimap more and more and practice enough.

Once you have this skill, it doesn't matter who you pick so long as you can Push.

The other thing is... Teamfighting is Overrated. There are maybe at most 4 team fights that actually determine the game... rest of the time, you are better off AFK farming/pushing.

I flew back to NA, played from S2/3 to Gold V in 2 weeks. I spent maybe 60-80% of most games "AFK farming" (really just safely pushing the minion waves to generate pressure and taking towers while running away when I sense they are coming and not dying). You can play Jinx, MF, Viktor... it doesn't matter who. You'll just naturally get more EXP and Gold and generate more map pressure to win games.

No, if you get placed below gold, it is physically IMPOSSIBLE to climb out of silver. The system is not designed to be able to compute the transition from silver 1 to gold 5.

Don't know why this is downvoted, this is literally a help post but okay. I'm currently Gold 2 right now in my Gold 1 promos. Only way I climb is pretty much by playing meta shit. I play Caitlyn, Twitch, Zac, etc. Your not going to win by playing Miss Fortune, especially not when your solo queueing with a potential autofilled support.

IMpossible, youre stuck in silver. The machine has you and has ordained where you will stay forever

yes you can if you are good enough to be out of silver

if you arent then no...

if you are a fringed player say silver 1- gold 4 ish type of skill you will need some luck and a string of wins in a row to get out if you clearly are above the fringe skill level then you will get out on your own cuz you just carry that hard and win ...

You don't want to climb, trust me.

I climbed to silver 3 with a 57% win rate by playing mostly fiora top and boy did the people change. Every one was toxic, the match making was terrible as I'd get bronze teammates against all mid silver opponents. People would hard feed and be toxic and the game just wasn't fun. I even purposely fell back to silver 5 with a 50% win rate just to have fun again.

But I noticed if you want to seriously climb, you have to jungle. I played jungle in all my promos since that's where you impact the game the most. You can help bot not feed, get your top lane ahead, and maybe give your mid an advantage.

Also, I think it's your champs. Play what your good at, but your champs are very early oriented so if you can't get fed and carry you won't win. Also I tried bot lane since that's my best role, but I hated being dependent on if you get a support or an xp soaking caster minion.

Of course if you have mechanics of a diamond or above level, I recommend you to play KaterinaKatarina or FizzFizz as they smash lane easily once you perform their combos correctly and hit your spells and they can snowball in a formidable way.

Is it possible to climb out of silver?

No, it is not possible. Of the millions of League of Legends players currently and in the past, no one has been able to climb out of Silver yet. Maybe one day. I believe Faker is in his promos to Gold though.

Draven is the best adc in my opinion cause he can oneshot everyone.Believe me i have climbed from bronze to gold 4. My main was Draven but now i started playing mid lane or jungle. At mid lane i play champs that can carry their team alone likeBrand orYasuo and at jungle i am playing LeeSin cause he is the best ganker and he helps his team a lot to get fed and the most important thing PLAY SOLO

Nope. No one had ever climbed out of silver

BigFBear8/12/2018, 1:38:05 PM1 votes

My recommendation: It's you. If you keep searching the failures at others and not at you, you will be stuck in silver forever. Ofc there are games where you can do nothing. But if u stuck in silver for more than 50 games and still think "it's because of the others" you will not get better. You are the only constanze in all these matches. Think about that.

Put it this way: Every champion has a main or one trick that climbed to challenger. So basically it doesn't matter what you play, if you play it correctly you most certainly can get 1/3rd of the way.

There are other factors beside KDAs to winning; are your shot calls good? Do your KDA matter or do you just farm kills and not hit towers? Do you CS properly? Wave Management? Roam after winning lane or usually just sit there? Good or bad shotcalling? Warding? Control wards every back? Are your builds adapted to situations or do you still continue to go full damage, or do the same build every game and fall off (typical for pantheons actually)?

I'd suggest watching pro players play miss fortune / pantheon and then find what you're doing different by watching your replays. Of course you won't get challenger over night watching an LCS player win lane as pantheon, but they're doing something right you're doing wrong, and the less wrong you do the higher you climb from where you are.

You can expand your champion pool too, sometimes pantheon is a poor choice for your team composition (no engage, no tank, full AD, no wave clear) and sometimes MF isn't the best ADC to synergize with your support or vs. their bot lane.

One tip I have is to continue just playing the same 2-3 champs to climb. They don't have to be Miss Fortune and Pantheon, but pick a couple champs you will enjoy and play the everloving heck out of them. The first time I reached gold I achieved it by one-tricking Cho'gath. And this was in season 3 when he was considered relatively mediocre (at the very least he wasn't meta). I played so much cho'gath during that season that I instinctively knew pretty much all of his limits, what I could get away with, how I could survive lanes that hard countered me, and how to be useful while ahead and behind.

If you're getting fed top as Pantheon you should push in your wave and instead of trying to kill the top laner again go mid or bot and kill them. There will be a lot of shit games that you won't be able to carry, but if you learn how to throw your weight around the map when ahead you should be able to hit gold pretty easy.

As far as bot Lane goes, you really live or die by your support. When you get a shit support the best advice I can give you is politely and calmly tell your support that you guys (even if it's all their fault, include yourself so they dont feel targeted) should play defensively and cede pressure to the enemy. It's better to risk missing 30 CS and give up first Tower than risk losing the tower and 30 CS + 2 deaths. You can always make up that gold later in the game, just make sure your lane opponent doesn't leave with six kills.

First thing you should do is take a look at your win rate with MissFortune Miss Fortune and Pantheon Pantheon. If your winrate is at less than 40% for either of them, you must pick other champions or vastly change the way you play. Having lower than a 40% winrate would be indicative of meta being against your side. If you have over a 55% win rate with these champions, you should focus on honing your skills on these champions. Otherwise, take psychological construct into consideration.

Climbing also takes a steady state of mind. Never let despair settle in. The way to offset this is through hype since it can actually offset frustration as well. This isn't to say that you need to be super excited to climb out, but it's rather that you shouldn't let the despair become that anchor which keeps you grounded in silver.

The logic behind this fact is very simple. Despair creates the tendency to give up and do nothing at all. You are required to do something to accomplish objectives for victory. Thus despair literally makes it more difficult to win. Bronze and silver ranks typically have emotional chaos ensuing on both sides which prevents anyone from playing properly. Thus if you can get rid of the anchor of despair on your side, then your side will have a natural advantage on the other.

While the effect of this may seem small initially, the main reason to invest in this is that you can boost your entire team rather than you alone with most other methods. There are going to be multiple individuals in your exact same scenario in your situation. If you can accomplish the simple task of completely removing despair from your side of the team, you can win many of the games you would normally find yourself losing. That in itself is the essence of what is required to climb, as naturally you will be stuck oscillating around 50/50 for victory.

P. S. This may not seem credible given my current rank. However, if you OP.GG me, you can see that I have reached Platinum in Season 5. These past years, I play 97% of my games on PBE.

if u think that this morga who make u lose the game u must know that she is the one who let u get good KDA and win other games !! its simple low elo lots of noob players that obvious ... but sometimes with u and sometimes against u, and that shiit is out of ur control, so do what u can do .... ( idk much i m silver too climbed recetly ) but ... my opinion is work :

first the mentality : u re silver cause thats what u deserve right now, u need to improve to climb 'not rocket science', so play to learn and improve ur skills have fun and dont worry a lot about ur elo as much as ur skills (cause when u get better u climb )

second skills : devided to two parts (mistakes & plays) to imrove ur skills u need to find a role that u like and stick to it then u need try all the champs in that role in orther to find a main or two stick to em and love em and practice practice practice till the piont that u know what u doing what ur champ is capable of how much damage counters CSing ur mistakes and while u doing that u need to improve ur map awareness and game knowledge all that buy staying positive and seeking imrovement (cause we suuuuck dude !!) GL in the future i hope i helped u and for every one who read that reply (whether he liked it or not) and help us climb

Basically if you want to climb out of sliver, I recommend you choosing scaling mid lane champions especially if you don't have mechanics of a diamond player. There are 2 champions that work best in your division: VladimirVladimir and VeigarVeigar. VladimirVladimir is strong because he has INSANE sustain and burst damage when he has enpowered Q up. Once you hit level 6 you can solo kill 90% any mid laners if they are below 60% hp if you can perform his all-in combo right. If you got a chance to roam to bot/top lane, do it. Your damage potential is very high if you has your ult up. For VeigarVeigar , you basically focus on taking cs and farming the stacks of your Q in the first 8 to 10 minutes. Players in silver are so stupid that they walk straight to the edge of your E and got stunned. Once your opponent play stupidly, punish them with your Q and W and eliminate them if your R can kill them. Don't roam if you are laning against assassins like ZedZed , TalonTalon , FizzFizz or AhriAhri, as good assassins can kill you easily in rivers and jungles. If they push the lane and roam, ping your teammates and push the lane into their turret and deny their cs. If you can position yourself right in teamfights, you can provide way more than enough damage and cc.
