Titanic Hydra gives your auto attacks a cone of damage facing forward from your champion that scales with your max health, and an active that acts as an additional cone of damage once every so often.

Dead Man's Plate makes you faster for walking around without attacking, but spells can still be used.

Increased Size increases your hit box, making it easier for enemies to click on you and hit you with skill shots. There might be other things, but this is about the only reason it's used at my level of play.

Increasing in size makes champion centered AOE abilities bigger as well as making you take up more space. It's useful for blocking skillshots as a tank. Ability E.G: Maokai ult, Cho Roar.

Titanic makes your bonus and AoE scale with Hp instead of AD

Dead Man's Plate gives bonus movement speed until you get slowed, cc'd, or you hit someone. Then, all stacks are consumed to do bonus damage.

Wait, really? I didn't know Cho'Gath's Feral Scream got bigger with size, are you sure?

The size stays proportionate with the champion size, as bigger Cho has bigger roar and spikes. This is also why Cho gets more frustrating to play against as he gets more stacks.

Maokai ult also gets a bit bigger when he gets huge, the range stays equally proportionate with his size.

item 3748 This gives tons of damage to tanks. It scales off health.

item 3742 This Health and Armour and it gives you extra move speed and a single target slow.

item 2138 Increasing in Size makes it easier for the enemy to accidentally hit you, this is good for tanks.

I am unclear on what item 3053 is meant to do as an item, I assume on some Melee AD it might be useful, but idk.

From what i remember the Reds saying, item 3053 is meant to help front line fighters survive a bunch of second-hand AoE burst in the beginning of a fight so they can deal their damage. I haven't been able to use it effectively yet, though

Increasing in size is a very deceptive method of tanking.

You're body is bigger, so that fatal hook that Thresh would have landed on your squishy support? It hits you instead, and now Thresh doesn't want to dive in, because you're also tanky.

You can also stand on/in front of a lot of things, like smaller champions and things like Thresh's lantern, preventing enemy's from clicking on them.

As for item 3053, it gives you bonuses when you take a lot of damage. Of you're a Bruiser who can't afford defense until later in the game, then item 3053 gives you the edge to survive by granting you a shield and bonus AD at low hp. The size bonus is good for late game when you have damage AND tankiness.

From what I can get this just gives you more attack damage the more health you have but, I'm not sure

The passive of the item does not increase your attack damage. It increases your autoattack damage based on the amount of health you have. When you autoattack, you'll do a small percentage of your maximum health to the guy you hit, and a larger percentage of your maximum health to everyone behind them. What this means is that it will make your autoattacks stronger if you are tanky, but your AD-scaling abilities will not be more powerful when you get tankier.

  • I have no Idea whatsoever about what this does

As you move around, you start moving faster and faster (up to a cap). If you autoattack someone, you lose the extra speed and do bonus damage and possibly slow based on how much extra speed you had. If someone hits you or crowd controls you, or if you stand still, you lose the extra speed very quickly.

What does increasing in size actually do?

It makes your model and hitbox larger, which makes you easier to hit, which also makes it easier for you to tank skillshots. For a champion that is meant to soak up damage, being able to absorb more incoming fire can be a very good thing.

Titanic hydra you pretty much got it. its Hydra for Bruisers. more Health more damage.

Deadmans plate. gives movespeed and an onhit effect that Pops when you auto(or use something that pops onhit) Both effects increase as you keep moving and pop when you auto. Cap of 70 movespeed and 100 Phys damage

increasing in Size makes it easier for you to absorb skill shots for your team.

that should be it

Just keep in mind that unlike Atma's, Titanic Hydra grants on-hit damage rather than just flat AD. So your autos do more damage, but it doesn't help any AD scalings (besides the item's innate 40 AD).

I thought the reason they removed Atma's was because it rewarded you with offense for building defense, just like Titanic Hydra.

increased damage on AA (the only part that scales with building defense) is very different from getting pure AD from building defense.

Atma affected all your abilities and your auto attacks. Titanic only affects autos. However I still see it as being a little overtuned.

No it was because nobody used it. It scaled with health. But gave armor and crit. (yes crit) You just didn't really have room on any champion to be building tank and crit. Didn't make sense.

Titanic Hydra gives you an on-hit that scales with your HP, doesn't give you any more AD besides the AD it gives (already mentioned)

Deadman's Plate builds up stacks as you walk, which also boosts your movement speed gradually. If you hit someone, you expend charges to deal damage based on it, slowing and more damage if you have 100+ charges expended.

Last two increase your hitbox size.

The cage I would build on anyone that you build triforce on. It gives you BASE AD. So you aren't going to be getting a lot of AD off it, but basically increases triforce hit by 250% instead of 200%. If it activates under the burst damage, you will get basically get 300 % base AD triforce hits instead of the 200 or 250. It will benefit champs whose abilities rely on base AD and champs with health builds that might initiate and take heavy burst damage. The titanic hydra is nice if you are looking for hps and damage but doesn't really help ad casters out like it does high hps aa based champs. The dead mans plate is a good alternative to sunfire if you don't need the aoe damage as much as you need initiate speed and a little extra single target damage. It's good on junglers to help them gank but it's mostly useless if you are facing off a team with lots of cc since it burns the stacks off.
