Riot, if you want Rengar to deal less damage EARLY game, why are you nerfing his late game?

They did the same to reksai. No point in trying to figure out why. You just gotta accept these things and move on.

But it's stupid, what the hell

The tank builds are oppressive so we will reduce their damage scalings, that will stop them from building tank!

Because Riots policy seems to always be:

When there is an issue, adress something elese.

Lee Sins ult has too low cd? Buff ult damage.

Garen is too easely kited? Nerf his Q.

Teemo is Teemo? Teemo is Teemo. Jebaited

Urgot requires too much work for what he bring to the table? Urgot. Kreygasm

Tanks doing bad in jungle? Buff Lee Sin.

Assassins doing good in jungle? Buff Lee Sin.

People can't stand Rengar facerolling jungle? Buff Lee Sin.

etc etc etc

It would be satirical if it weren't pretty true.

So he blows up squishies like an assassin and less to tanks

Rengar is just overplayed in pro LoL.

They are tuning him for pro play through continuous nerfs the same way they tuned Lee Sin, and Elise for high elo and pro play. Graves is next on that list if his popularity in LCK and LCS ever reaches Rengar proportions, which it most likely will. Rengar has >90% presence in both LCK and LCS as pick/ban.

So because Pros are good and want my favorite champion to be picked all the time, I have to suffer through nerfs? Rito...

We call that the Azir syndrome

Because RIOT is busy with the Ryze rework.

They don't have enough time to check patch notes.

I'd imagine to slow his snowballing and reduce incentive to build tanky.

They aren't nerfing his late game. His Q just does 10 less damage now, which is far more significant at early levels than it is at later ones. I have no idea why they talked about late game in the patch notes because the numbers changes are clearly meant to make his 1-3 significantly weaker.

20% less scaling per rank.

DunkinNoobs1 votes

It's .1 less AD scaling and 10 less base damage off of rank 1 and then scales at the same rate it did before. It's meant to make his rank 1 Q significantly weaker and nothing else.

It strikes twice, so 20 less damage with 20% less scaling total.
