In the last 10 games I've ~~played ~~been forced to suffer through, the opposing team has had (at least) 2x the kills of us by 20mins, 70% of the time. And this is in ranked, no less, where matchmaking isn't supposed to be equivalent to a backed up septic tank.
Is this just me? Or has matchmaking quality in general absolutely plunged recently?
I don't think its the matchmaking. Im pretty sure the game is just at the worst state that it has ever been in. By a long shot... Feels like individual skill is completely out the window and all that matters is who's team has the better comp and who has the more overpowered runes.

According to this board there is an infinite supply of bad players and yet they only end up on the teams of players from this board somehow, the enemy team is always composed of a bionic army of robots designed specifically to play 24/7 and crush low elo league players into submission. It's not just matchmaking. This preseason games are extremely snowbally and short, so you notice who wins and loses the matchups a lot more.

support who kept trying to 1 v 2 the enemy lane when I backed or couldn't reach her, and just plain sat under tower when I WAS in lane. Didn't even take her W until lvl 5!

who went 0/3 in 8 mins. that alone would not be too bad, but then in All chat he types "Leave me a lone I'm really drunk!!" To which I called him out on how moronic that was! I told him that was basically saying "EVERYONE COME GET YER FREE GOLD MID!!!"; At which point he just went full int. and told everyone it was MY fault...
Game 3) Just a mismatch stomp of a game, Every lane lost on my team. The thing is the enemy jg was a 
who was just insufferable in all chat. he had the only negative score on his team, and was talking like a snotty kid making fun of the guy he just had his big brother beat up for him!
I muted him, but my team? REFUSED TOO and just wasted the game "arguing" with him! at least 4 more deaths while people were typing.... but apparently me telling then to not do that is "OMG WHY YOU SO TOXIC"...
Honestly! NON VERBAL toxicity my be harder to enforce, but it NEEDS some attention!

Yeahhh... Dropped from a 70% winrate to a 50% winrate without changing anything about my playstyle and haven't climbed anywhere. Matchmaking is really bad atm. The "optimisations" to make it faster just lead to it throwing together players of less equal skill.
Matchmaking has been trash for years. Not surprised due to Rito lying about their player count. But hey, might as well remove ranks at this point since diamonds and bronzies play against each other now.
I'd say Ghostcrawler needs to ne held accountable or at least explain why the game is in such a garbage state, but I'd get swarmed by GC fanboys and girls downvoting me.

Its not that matchmaking has gotten worse, its been bad for some time. Its the snowbally meta we have right now makes it MUCH MUCH more noticeable.
It's at least in part due to people mixing queues more during preseason. You have a smaller population of players in ranked queue (and more trying new things), then also more players in normals who normally don't play it with low normals MMR
well 80% of my games end in a surrender and my team tries to surrender through 90% at least once win or lose. ill take overwhelming odds but stalwart teammates over. teammates who give up easily any day.
i fel you man, i got 14 days of the banhammer because i called a xin a fuckign %%%got in my game because he was feeding on purpose and refusing to help anyone. he was purposely playing the game like it was a single player rpg. apparently the dedicated players of the game that have stuck around for years and have spent countless dollars on this game dont get any time to express their anger but trolls are still allowed in ranked games and never get punished. the exact reason id gladly sell my account to get a fraction back on the skins i have bought because ive definitely put more than 2 grand into this game. so tired of riot and their shitty rules and their shitty catering to snowflakes. typically i dont say anything in ranked games but when my entire team was in agreeance with me and i get the ban instead of the troll because of monitored chat logs and not behavior in game it makes me wanna play DOTA and use a third party site to make money instead of sinking it inot a game where the devs dont give a shit about anyone, they just allow other users to monitor chat logs when a complaint is registered. Riot is the Pewdiepie of game publishers, let someone else control the content they got famous from
