_Diamond+ makes for a small % of overall player-base, so we wanted to give our thoughts on the lower elo and how it will affect your gameplay. _ Here's our sample of the new pre-season:

  1. Sample Matches
  2. AD has seen a huge [Riot disputed] Buff
  3. AP has seen a huge [Riot disputed] Nerf
  4. Team Composition
  5. Win Rates

--------------------Sample Matches-------------------- We find that what worked last season on and for AP champions of any role does not work any longer. If you are planning a build that involves both Seraph's and ROA, skip it. Most games won't afford you opportunity to build both. Focus on a particular aspect of your champion and build into it. Example, Lux-Support should not focus on AP so much as she should focus on CDR, Mobility, and Sustain. Last season you could support-carry. This season in these elo's, 95% chance you won't get the chance. AP assassins are no longer viable mid lane AP jungle assassins are no longer viable to gank mid lane AP jungle assassins need a strong early leash from camp-to-buff to stay relevant AP casters are still viable mid lane to hold the lane, however are easily destroyed by any AD ranged including zed AP assassin mid & AP assassin jungle doesnt seem to work so far. Not enough mana to go around, and are easily squished before escaping (think Kha'Zix) AP supports like sona, morgana, lux, so far have only seen usefulness when they land their skill-shot stun, and seem useless in silver/bronze during a teamfight unless well planned.

--------------------AD Buffs/AP Nerfs-------------------- Champions like Zed, Riven, Shen, Renekton etc have truly seen a buff with the removal of mana pots. Champions like Pantheon, Poppy etc have seen a medium-large nerf in spite of being AD Reasons: As a AP champion during laning, 5 mana pots and 1 other regen item beats out the increased base regen % + 1 other item. There is essentially less sustain for greater cost during laning phase. **Advice:**Blue buffs for Mid lane AP champions are not optional they are essential now. Champions like Partheon and Poppy who have small amounts of mana and large ability costs will suffer during laning. If you are an AP main and see these champions, use this to your advantage and try to bait them into wasteing their mana as they will not be able to harass as much as before without basing. If you play these champions, Teleport is almost essential.

--------------------Team Composition-------------------- In our our matches, we are seeing team comps that involve 3-5 ad champions where before we would typically see 1-3. I have yet to see an enemy team comp that has less than 3 AD champs. Most matches we've seen favor all ad with 1 AP (almost as an afterthought maybe?) We're sure some of this is from interest in the new update and wanting to try it out (successfully we might add) and how much easier it is to click-2-win type scenarios luring in scrubs to being able to carry. Tryndamere jungle is looking like a strong choice. Being able to tank, spin over walls, medium-CC opponents and deal moderate damage and still give up blue buff to a team mate. He has little other mobility, and we are playing around with it, but dont wait to hear how we did. Try it yourself. This season is all about trolling after-all :) --------------------Win Rates-------------------- AP Champions dominated the top 20 list for highest win rates, ADC's like Ashe, Draven, etc had a win rate around 50-52%. When champion.gg updates their data for the new patch we'll compare the two officially, However from our sample matches, the more AD champions on your team so far seems directly proportional to your win rate...... More AD = Higher Win Rate

Again this is our opinion, we welcome yours, if you have more insight through your pre-season matches please vote below to show us what you've experienced so far so we can all get a better handle on playing to win this season.

At the moment it seems as if AP Champs have phased out. I have been raved at about how great it is playing adc's now, and hey who can blame someone for enjoying dominating the entire game. The problem with this update is that it seems adc's now require less skill to do well. Nearly every champ I play is AP based, and so far, with new item updates + huge mana drain + op adc, I'm finding early game devastating.

they need to fire who evers job it is to check things and think things over. more and more toxic play styles are emerging every patch. this just being a giant Trojan horse.

Trynd is one of the worst junglers in the game, by the way. Before the Devourer nerf, he was the only Devour jg with a sub 50% winrate.
