QOL Buff for Miss Fortune

Have her Strut fully activated on respawn, because upon respawn it starts only partially charged.

It already says it will be fully charged after not being hit for 7 seconds. Why should death increase that timer?

EDIT: The reason I suggest this is that is can become a hassle, particularly in situations where you will want her W to help defend an inhibitor. You can't afford to get there as quickly because you have to W on the platform to get the full speed and will need to reset it once you get to the minions.

EDIT 2: Confirmed in a recent game that activating her Strut will disable the undo function, which is another reason to simply have her passive up in full upon respawn.

you know if u just w in base it's automatic? plus you get the mana back because you're in base.

King of MF5 votes

so that feature already exists. it's just part of knowing how to play Mf

Vallalan1 votes

or just having a brain. don't have to be an MF main to pop your W right when you spawn. not only do you get the mana back, but by the time you leave you the base itself you will already have it off cooldown.

Except it's not. It puts the spell on cooldown, which is inconvenient if you need to rush over and save an inhibitor, because you've put your attack speed steroid on cooldown to get there faster.

True but it does put the spell on CD and it is a bit annoying

I never notice that it have CD untill now I think if you use w at base by the time you may have it off CD now or just need one or two auto to refresh it CD

Except it's not "one or two autos" if they're on your nexus, nexus turrets or inhibitors. And only the nexus is close enough for you to still have the steroid if you used it on the platform.

Strut will be off cooldown by the time you leave base if you're walking from the platform to lane. As I've mentioned, it becomes a choice of which hindrance will you take during an active siege because you either lose out on the steroid or getting there sooner. If there's no siege on your base then it's not much of a buff.

Prevents undo function, may be a slight problem.

As someone else mentioned, it prevents the undo function. It also means that you're actually hindered when trying to rush to defend something like an inhibitor late game because you have to cast it on the platform or save it for when you get to the fight. I don't feel like that's a choice that should ever need to be made.

Honestly, I supported your entire argument until that last sentence. I dislike when choices are dumbed down for players. If you have to choose between leaving fountain a slight bit faster or waiting in case you need the cooldown for a fight, I think that's something that should be left as-is. Make players choose between having utility for later or using it immediately. If Rammus wants to use his Q to leave fountain faster, he risks it being on cooldown if a teamfight breaks out - why should MF have the benefit of not having to choose?

That being said, if we just make the argument about her passive not being active on respawn, that I can agree with - if homeguards is instantly refreshed on respawn, then other movement speed passives should be as well.

You answered it with the next bit.

It's a counter-intuitive choice that's forced as a result of her W passive not being readily up on respawn. Her W cooldown is low enough that it's rare for this change to be a buff, since it focuses on her ability to get off the platform and defend. The only situation where this is a buff that matters is when there is an active siege on her base (anything from the nexus to the inhibitor turrets).

The difference is that most champions actually have to USE an ability to get out of base faster. For MF, its a passive. I'm not sure, but I feel like other passive-type abilities like this are instant on respawn - Eve invisibility, Malz shield, Malphite shield, Taliyah's speed, Garen's HP regen (though its useless),

Busty Demoness2 votes

They are. MF's gets the partial activation, not the full. The rest get full activation and I suspect it's partially due to a coding issue since hers is the only one with a partial activation.

Strut's passive, without using the skill actively, has 2 parts. After a few seconds of not being hit, gains 25 movement speed. After a few more seconds, the bonus is increased even further based on the rank of Strut.

Using the active portion immediately grants the full bonus. MF can use the active to get out faster by fully charging the passive immediately, but then can lose out on having the attack speed boost ready depending on how far she has to go. The further she has to go, the less likely it will be an issue.

Looks like even Death wants to hit that

I think an even better QoL would be to have strut not reset on minion attack. It feels horrible.

Busty Demoness2 votes

As much as I hate that a stray minion shot will knock her out of strut, that's a little more than "quality of life" level.

Fairyfleur1 votes

Definitely, but it's very annoying.

Damodar3 votes

One QOL buff id rather have is that my passive doesn't fall off after receiving one stray minion attack. Really, even if it's like 2 or 3 it would be so much better.

AFilthyCaitMain2 votes

I dont see why not

Aeró2 votes

you will have homegaurds built in by the time they can reach your inhib (unless you're getting stomped). You can get to your inhib fast enough as it is.

Silly Neeko1 votes

I can see it. Not too big, but its just enough to be noticeable. It doesnt effect her actual gameplay toooooo very much without it being very special circumstances.......

Yeah i think i can get behind this.

hhaavviikk1 votes

having to W in base every time you respawn is a hassle, no reason not to have riot change it.

PePsiLemoNN1 votes

Just W in base? lol

Busty Demoness1 votes

So I should just stop my ability to undo purchases and possibly lose out on the steroid because the enemy is actively attacking my base?

Cowseed1 votes

I agree with the other guy that said just press the W. And if your worried about having to choose between movespeed and saving your AS steroid then having both would be a flat out buff, not a quality of life change. I don't think she really needs this and having the choice between saving the steroid or moving out faster is a good decision to have. Champions shouldn't be able to have their cake and eat it, too.

Busty Demoness2 votes

But because Homeguards is a % boost, and Strut is a flat boost, Homeguards gives a slightly greater effect when her passive is fully up.

In addition, how many scenarios are so desperate such a buff would make a significant difference?

Lastly, please read some of the other arguments. At a certain point of defense, it becomes a choice where both options hinder you and that's counter intuitive.

Cowseed2 votes

Since alot of people max W second the free 100 ms plus homeguards can make alot of difference. That's a free mobi boots right off the bat with no cost.

I'll go look at some of the other arguments to see what your saying though

ParvatiShallow1 votes

99% of the time I would press W at spawn and it doesn't affect anything in game. It really just saves a button click which is why it is a QOL change. Actually it is so small I would not be surprised if I forget about the change immediately.

ParvatiShallow1 votes

I also main MF and this would be a very small QOL change. Kinda akin to the Quinn ult change when respawning. Nothing much to say other than why not.

bump for review.
