The Mystery Champion Shard solved

So recently League of Legends released hex tech chest, keys all that and champion shards for around 1700 IP. To use the champion shards to their fullest what i did was bought every champion up to 4800 (Which I had gotten over time). With these champion shards i would save up 3 random champions and if i did not like any of them i would automatically but upgrading the 3, get a 6300 champ no matter what. This may not seem like much or like you don't have the decision of your champion that you want, but over time by spending 5100 and getting a 6300 champ you save lots of IP and will have every champion much faster. While some people will argue this is just plain dumb, it does indeed save lots of IP but at the cost of a random champion.
